"Have you chosen the gown for the royal ball?" Diana could not help but ask. She was surprised that Evan had let her see the design. Most of the time, noble ladies guard their looks more than a noble man would guard his treasure.

Yet, she did not know what to think about Evangeline. She was still the opportunist who had divorced her husband and let go of her family name to be the duchess. She had robbed the right of her and hazel. 

Yet… when she looked at Evangeline, she only saw a workaholic woman who burned her bones for the welfare of others. For now, she had decided to observe only.

"Hmm, I do not know. I will see how the dress looks after getting ready and then I will decide where I can wear it. Have you prepared the file I have asked you for?" Diana bit her lips as she shook her head earning a sigh from Evangeline.
