Chapitre 2: CHAPTER 2: Valerian allies
a few moments past, I awoke myself the same bed thinking it was all dream. but unfortunately, I was late for breakfast. my maid stood beside me crying her eyes out, and trying to get a response from me as she grab my right arm saying "my lady, please wake up..... my lady, please wake up, master vera is not gonna be happy if we are late"
then suddenly the door burst open and a tall man with white hair and a eye color resembling gold, suit in a multi layer crisp clothes top and a velvet layer coat with golden button, resembled like the Bridgerton from that netflix series however this one it was a little bit goofy because he looks like from an opera play instead from a high ranking people.
then he said "are you going to just lay in bed the whole day" with an annoyed looks
I burst into laughter because I can't help it that he looks so ridiculous. especially those tight pants, he looks like those ballerina
the maid, and the man suddenly froze in shock and silence. the maid looks more shocked in terror, while the man looks more shocked in confusion
"What's so funny? do you think Father will like this behavior of yours" the man said
*continuing to laugh and banging her hand into the bed sheet
"My lady, please refrain from laughing. that's master vera, we don't want him to get angry"
oh shit, this goofy looking dude is master vera, I had read him in the story. he is one of valerian allies or Valerian brother who helped get rid of Lyca and initiate assassination to the king, but at last, he was decapitated right in front of Valerian eyes before it was her turn. damn i know he look goofy in those clothes, but his facial structure is kind of cute.
"hey dude"
"I have to let you know my name is not dude, it's vera"
"yeah.... vera dude, lose the pants and those ruffles. you look like some huskies with legs"
*shock
"I let you have know that this is the new style of the kingdom, every high ranking society is wearing this, and let you know that this silk is from Italy and the print design came from a famous designer of all benzene kingdom"
*sigh "at least change the pants into less fitting because I can see your balls"
"my lady" said by the maid in angry tone
"pervert, no ladies have that kind of manners nor those wondering eyes" said by vera in an embarrassed face
I got off the bed and stood right in front of his face and said this word in a confrontational matter: "let's say the ladies is not the only one who is going to look at it" then my eyes directed toward his pants. the look on his face finally understood what I meant. then I walk pass him toward the door and said "so what's for breakfast?"
"my lady, you are not going downstairs in your night robe" I looked down to see what I was wearing
*sigh then the maid said "master vera, could you wait at the dining hall, I will get lady valerian ready for breakfast, it will only take little time"
"I will take my leave, madam ellie" then vera walk directed toward the door and stop right beside me and he whisper to me "you better not say those words toward your future husband, he is known to be brutal toward people who insult him." Then he exited the room.
now that I think about it, why did valerian married the king. isn't because for status?, was she force to marry him?, or isn't the kings order. the story I read did not really discuss about her past much. so I was hoping that a breakfast with father will allow me to know what's her purpose is in this marriage
