The Napoleonic Code is a set of laws that were established under Napoleon's leadership and had a profound impact not only on France but on legal systems around the world. It aimed to replace the patchwork of feudal laws, privileges, and customs that had existed in France before the revolution with a clear and consistent legal framework.
