Chapitre 22: Tanjiro's Day

______________

2 days had passed since Mei Mei had invited him for a 'coffee'.

In the days that followed, Satoru had a brief off-screen encounter with his parents, who had returned from their prior engagements. It was a heartwarming reunion, and Satoru found himself pleasantly surprised by the respect and kindness his parents showed him. As the eldest child in the Gojo clan and the bearer of both the Limitless and Six Eyes techniques, he was automatically entitled to the position of clan head. However, Satoru was aware of the responsibilities that came with that title and the weight it carried.

For now, he understood that he was still a student, far from being the mature and capable leader that his clan needed. Therefore, his father had assumed the role of proxy head until the day Satoru would decide to bear the burden of leading the Gojo clan. This arrangement allowed Satoru to focus on his education, Training, and the challenges he faced as a Jujutsu High student.

The support and understanding he received from his parents filled him with gratitude.

The soft morning light bathed the room in a gentle glow as Satoru Gojo sat on the edge of his bed, shrouded in a crisp white blanket. For the past two days, he tried to contact Mei Mei, but he didn't get an answer. He knew that she was intentionally avoiding him, but for what reasons, he couldn't fathom.

Putting the matter aside for the moment, Satoru quietly rose from the bed, careful not to disturb the peaceful scene before him. As he moved, he noticed a particularly endearing sight on the bed. Eliza, his personal maid, lay there, nestled beneath the same cozy blanket.

Her slumber was serene and undisturbed, and in her rest, she exuded an air of innocence and tranquility. Satoru couldn't help but smile as he watched over her

As Satoru Gojo stood before the bathroom mirror, splashing cool water on his face, a sudden notification from the system caught his attention. The message carried a sense of urgency, and he couldn't help but feel intrigued by what it entailed.

The notification also came with a timeframe – he had a mere six hours before he would be teleported to this new world. It was an unexpected turn of events, but Gojo was never one to back down from an adventure. The allure of the unknown and the mysteries that lay ahead were irresistible.

Satoru Gojo often found himself pondering one particular question that had remained unanswered. It was a riddle that had intrigued him for a long time.

The question revolved around the enigmatic Hashira Giyu Tomioka, a powerful and steadfast member of the Demon Slayer Corps. Giyu was known for his unwavering determination to eradicate demons, a sentiment he held with a passion that few could match. He was a formidable warrior, committed to his duty to the core.

However, what had perplexed Gojo was a specific incident from the Demon Slayer world. Giyu had crossed paths with Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who had been valiantly trying to protect his demon-turned sister, Nezuko. In this encounter, Giyu had not immediately moved to strike down the demon, as was his custom. Instead, he had engaged in a tense standoff with Tanjiro, allowing the boy to defend his sister.

This departure from his usual approach left Gojo puzzled. He couldn't fathom why Giyu, who had previously shown no mercy to demons, would suddenly show restraint and empathy. It was as if Giyu had never witnessed civilians trying to protect their family members who had been turned into demons, only to meet a tragic end at the hands of those they loved.

[A/N: Nezuko was shielding her brother much later in the fight in the anime and Giyu would have not waited that much considering he was as fast as a speeding bullet or much more.]

"I guess Tanjiro's Protag Plot armor is not working in this world as it did in the anime," Gojo concluded.

Satoru Gojo, fully aware of the imminent journey to the Demon Slayer world, had taken the time to inform his parents and his mentor, Professor Yaga, of his temporary departure. His explanation was a carefully crafted one: he would be absent for two days to focus on training and experimenting with his growing repertoire of skills.

As the day unfolded, Gojo found himself spending time with his dear friends, Geto and Shoko. They shared moments of laughter and leisure, watching the entertaining movie "Night at the Museum." It was a time of camaraderie and relaxation, providing a welcome break from the chaos and challenges they often faced as sorcerers.

However, the tranquility of the evening was soon interrupted by a sight that drew Gojo's attention like a beacon. Glancing at the mission board, he noticed a timer counting down. With just one hour left before his departure to the Demon Slayer world, Gojo's preparations had to be accelerated.

He couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and anticipation.

In the quiet and peaceful village of Tanjirou Kamado, life was simple and serene. The village was nestled amid the lush greenery of a forest, a haven of tranquility where time seemed to move slowly. The sun set low on the horizon, casting a warm golden hue over the quaint homes and cobblestone pathways. Tanjirou, a young boy with a warm heart and a strong sense of responsibility, could often be found amidst the simple beauty of his surroundings.

Tanjirou was a diligent and caring older brother, looking after his younger siblings. His father had passed away, leaving him the man of the house at a tender age.

On that fateful day, Tanjirou had embarked on a journey to the nearby town to sell charcoal, a family tradition. The journey was long, and the weight of the charcoal burdensome, but Tanjirou carried it with resolve. It was the duty he had embraced, the means of providing for his family.

As he walked along the forest path with the charcoal-laden basket on his back, he couldn't help but admire the beauty of the world around him. The forest, the sun-dappled leaves, and the gentle rustling of the wind all seemed to speak of nature's harmony.

Upon arriving at the town, Tanjirou's eyes were met with a bustling marketplace, filled with a vibrant array of colors and sounds. The atmosphere was alive, and it was a stark contrast to the quietude of his village.

After selling all his stuff, Tanjiro stayed in an old man's house while he was heading home, The man told him to spend the night there and told him about the creatures of the night called demons. An air of mystery surrounded this ominous presence, and the old man's words filled Tanjirou with unease.

The mention of demons and the existence of Demon Slayers was not unfamiliar to Tanjirou. He had grown up hearing tales of malevolent creatures and those who dedicated their lives to vanquishing them. However, in the confines of his quiet village, such stories had always seemed distant, like the echoes of another world.
