Chapitre 47: A Warrior's Awakening

The clamor of the Adventurers' Guild receded into the background as Thanatos focused his attention on the quest board. 

His fingers traced the handwritten notices, each one a promise of danger and potential reward. 

He skimmed the bounties, the rescues, the dungeon dives, his eyes lingering on those that might test his abilities, those that might push him to his limits. 

He was looking for a challenge, a quest worthy of his newly minted S rank.

Thanatos' thoughts churned beneath his mask, like the shifting sands of a desert, ever changing, ever restless. 

'I thought that becoming an S rank would mean a life of danger and excitement, but so far it's been as eventful as watching a stalactite grow. The Guildmaster must have been joking about his 'expectations.' Hmph.'

With a scowl, he turned back to the quest board looking at the various quests, each one a potential doorway to adventure...or boredom.
