Chapitre 5: Joining the Adventurer Guild
Was 6:00 AM when Luke's mother called him to eat breakfast.
Luke's mother was called Eliza and his father called Hank.
Luke went downstairs with unstable steps and stepped to the coffee room.
He saw his parents sitting at the table and he joined them. Eliza has long black hair and blue eyes, she has a young appearance looking like a woman in her early twenties. When someone asks for her age he never answers but gives a scary smile that makes everyone who asks that question tremble.
His father looks like a man in his early thirties, but he is 2 meters tall and has an incredibly muscular body. And like Luke's mother nobody knows his real age.
When started to attack the food his mother exclaimed.
"Where are your ways! Only because today is your big day you can't just..." She stopped talking and looked with attention to his son that was devouring the breakfast.
His son was pallid with big eye bags in his eyes. He definitely didn't sleep last night.
"Son, what time did you sleep last night?" She asked Luke.
Luke raised his head like a zombie and answered with a weak voice. "I don't know."
Eliza shook his head and looked at his husband. " Darling, you can help Luke to wake up?" He asks her husband.
"No problem, I wake him." Hank stood and started to drag Luke out of the house.
Hank and Eliza were ex-adventurers rank D. They are talented but they decided to end their journey and live a simple life because Eliza was pregnant.
Hank was the one who filled Luke's head with adventurer histories. He was the biggest reason for Luke's decision to become an adventurer.
After walking a few minutes they arrived at a small lake.
Hank threw Luke in the middle of the lake and said with a voice that only Luke could hear. "Go clean up and come back to finish breakfast. After that we are going to the town hall to get your majority and discover your affinity." He told Luke and returned to home.
While Luke was cleaning up, Hank and Eliza were face to face, both with serious faces.
Eliza started the dialogue. "It's your fault that he will have a difficult life."
Hank tried to defend himself "I told him that being an adventurer is dangerous, but it seems like the more I talk about the danger the more excited he becomes."
"Cut the crap. You instructed him correctly?" She asked him with nervousness.
"Yes. I told him to never reveal his abilities, to not trust anybody, to not eat nobodies food, to not be arrogant if he becomes strong, to now believe in all things that is told to him, to not visit places that he knows are dangerous to his abilities or unknown places and to train all power systems." He repeats a phrase that he used all the times Eliza asks him about what he teaches Luke.
"Excellent. Known his survival chance will be bigger than normal adventures. He will progress slowly but firmly and strong, training all the power systems at the same time." She said.
After that they return to wait for Luke.

Luke returned to home, ate breakfast and met his father.
"I am ready to go!" His eye bags disappeared and his skin recovered the color. His white hair was a median size length and with his blue-ice eyes created harmony.
"You are not forgetting anything?" Hank asked Luke.
Luke realized. "Oh! I forgot my backpack!" He tried to go upstairs and pick his backpack but he was stopped by his father. He looked at his father with confusion.
Hank opened his hand in front of Luke revealing a ring. "I will give you this space ring. The ring has a hundred cubic meters of space. The ring will be useful to you." He said smiling.
"Thank you dad! I will use this treasure with wisdom!" He thanked his father.
After that, he and his parents rode horses and started to go to the town.

After 1 hour they arrived at the town.
The town looked like a medieval one. The road was wide with space for carriages and horses passed without problems.
They went to the middle of the town, where the town hall was situated.
Luke entered the town hall with his parents staying outside.
The town hall was well built and with decor in the right places giving elegance to the place. He went to the receptionist, A middle aged woman with brown hair.
"What is your purpose being here?" She asked him.
Luke answered with emotion"I am here to get a status stone!"
"Ok, follow the corridor by my side." She responded to him.
"Tank you!" Luke thanked and followed the corridor.
He entered a room at the end of the corridor and found an old man seated at the table.
"Young, just drip a drop of blood in this stone and you will have access to his status, when you reach the rank D in soul you will not need more this stone." He gave Luke a needle and a small white stone.
Luke handed the needle with his left hand and pierced his thumb, dropping a drop of blood at the stone. The stone started to change the color to principally blue-ice with some parts being blue.
"Oh! You're lucky boy, you have affinity with two elements, Ice and water with the affinity with ice being stronger." The old man was surprised to see a person with affinity to two elements but he quickly recovered, it is not the first time that he sees it happening.
After hearing the old man he started to concentrate on the stone.
A tab with text appeared to him. Luke was stunned when he saw his status.

He got lost in his thoughts when he remembered some things that he father told him.
The unique abilities are abilities that have a chance to appear when someone born doesn't matter the race. Most of the unique abilities users are strong, they are usually unparalleled with some of them being the top experts of the continent like: The guardian of the continent, sun lion Cassius. The greatest adventurer, Sword lord Blake. Or the great elder of the blue moon church, lord full moon Kaleus.
The old man perceived that Luke was stunned and then asked him "Are you ok?"
Luke woke up from his torpor when he heard the old voice.
"Yes! Thank you for giving me the stone, bye." Luke started to go where his parents were with a strange facial expression.
'This boy must have become too happy because he received two affinities.' The old man thought with himself and shook his head.

Luke leaves the town hall and goes to where his parents were waiting for him.
His parents saw his strange face and his mother asked him "What is your affinity? What happened?" She asks him with anxiety.
"Ice and water, with ice being my strongest element." Luke answered without changing his expression.
"That's amazing son! You have two elements!" Hank was ready to continue talking when he noticed that his son's face was strange.
"What's happened?" He asks Luke.
"Father. One time you told me about unique abilities, you can..." He didn't finish talking when Hank used his hands to cover Luke's face. He looked to his surroundings before starting dragging Luke to a dark alley with Luke trying to break free but with no success. Eliza follows them from behind. A typical kidnapping scene.
"Dark veil." Eliza said. Shadows started to leave his left hand surrounding the alley.
Hank took a torch from his space ring and lit the flames, lighting up the darkness, then he let Lukle go.
Luke was quietly waiting for his father's say something.
"Son. I will be serious with you, answer my question with seriousness and with yes or no. Alright?" He asked Luke with a scary face that he only shows when he is fighting.
"Alright." Luke responds to him lost in his thoughts.
"You have a Unique ability?" Hank asked him.
"Yes. But..." When he tried to continue talking his father interrupted him.
"Don't have buts, only yes or no. I say a thing to you son, never say to anyone that you have unique abilities, including his parents." Hank told him.
"But..." Luke tried to say something when this time his mother interrupted him.
"Your father is right Luke, You never must show that you have unique abilities to anyone, if someone asks you, you should say that you are talented or that are yours cultivation technique, make up a good excuse." Eliza said with a serious face.
"Ok." Luke said reluctantly.
"Good." His parents said together. His mother removed the dark veil and his father kept the torch in the space ring.
"Give us a hug, son." His mother said and they had a collective hug. After that Luke's parents said goodbye and returned to home. Luke started going to the adventurer guild.
'My parents should at least hear what I want to say to them. Now I'll never know if it is normal to have three unique abilities. ' He took the status stone from his space ring and started to look at his unique abilities descriptions, getting happy when he saw how strong they were.

'Whoh! They are very strong. Now I know why figures like lord Cassius, lord Blake or lord Kaleus can be so strong, he thought with himself.
After that he arrives at the adventurer guild build. The guild was the second biggest build in the town losing only to the town hall.
Luke Entered in the building through the main entrance, he went to the receptionist, a common middle aged man.
"Are you here to join the guild boy?" He asked Luke
"Yes." Luke said
"Good. give me your status stone and 10 gold coins."
Luke concentrated on the space ring and saw provisions as ration and water, and two gold piles, one with 10 golds and another with 100 golds. Each pile had a note saying respectively: 'To join the adventurer guild.' And 'To buy a weapon.'
'My father actually didn't give me money to buy other things, he is so bad.' He thought with himself, but he was smiling.
"Here." He took his soul stone and gave the man.
After a link with the soul stone is formed, only the owner can see the whole information. Other people only can see the race and affinity.
"Oh, ice and water, with ice being the strongest." He looked to Luke from top to bottom.
"You look promising young. I'll give you this token, you can choose two books ranked 2 from the second floor." He said to Luke and gave him a token.
"Thank you! I can't thank you enough!" Luke was truly happy. He knows that when a new adventurer joins the guild they only can have two abilities ranked 1.
The abilities in this word can vary between 5 ranks. Commun, rare, epic, legendary and transcendent. The difference between the ranks of the cultivation and battle techniques is huge, but how much greater the ability rank, bigger are the requisites to practice them being natural talent and comprehension. The comprehension increases when the ranks raise. If a person with mediocre aptitude receives a legendary ability to practice, he can pass the whole life trying to understand the technique but getting nothing, not advancing none in the cultivation technique.
The old man giving him a rare ability early on, means that he saw that Luke has a big potential, because if a normal person receives a rare ability in the beginning it only will slow up their progress.
After Luke thanked the man he hurried to the second floor. Excitement in his face.

After Luke went upstairs a woman in her thirties appeared behind him and said. "President, why do you always steal my job?" The woman told him with a discontent.
The man got up releasing the chair to the woman and answered her calmly "I like to see with my own eyes how the adventurers are going, like this young that just left now was a new talent, his talents are bigger than mine. You need to keep an eye on him. "
The woman was surprised with the man's declaration, after all he is the president of this filial.
"Yes president." She answered him with a respectful voice.
After that the man returned to his office.
