Chapitre 6: Chapter 6: Adorable and Deceptive Pikachu

The light rain drizzled down, and mist hung in the air.

Aomori strolled through the forest, appearing relaxed, but his gaze remained fixed on a small yellow figure not far ahead, perched on a tree branch.

Indeed, it was the yellow, electrifying troublemaker that was causing havoc in this forest. It was known as the fourth major force, the Pikachu.

"Pika?" Pikachu tilted its little head, displaying a puzzled expression and a hint of cuteness.

This particular Pikachu was still unaware of the dangers of the world. It had never seen a creature like the one before it, wrapped in animal hide and shirtless, so it stopped to observe, unaware that this pause would seal its tragic fate.

"All focused! Thunder Breathing, First Form: Lightning Sprint! Super-Speed Ultimate Thunderclap Flash!"

Approaching within an arrow's range, Aomori tore off his disguise, revealing his fangs. His entire body was enveloped in electricity, and in an instant, he appeared behind the bewildered Pikachu. Using his hand as a blade, he struck down.

Boom! Leaves and branches scattered, and the tree trunk groaned in agony. Pikachu was knocked to the ground, its eyes rolling back in an unconscious state, as expected from a battle it was ill-prepared for.

Within seconds, the surrounding tree branches were filled with Pikachus bearing hostile intent.

"Pika...chu~"

Electricity surged, dispelling the mist and drizzle.

A passing Pidgey couldn't help but yawn. "Pidgey~" (Another day of clearing away the aftermath~) ...

As the sun reached its zenith, the battle came to a halt.

As the saying goes, "Hospitable Beedrills, Adorable but Deceptive Pikachus." It was clear that the defeated party in this battle was undoubtedly the Pikachu clan, and they had lost to a human, a being that elves considered weak. This had firmly established their title as "adorable but deceptive."

After all, not all milk was cow's milk, and not all Pikachus were Pikachus.

Only the one with gathered energy could claim the title.

As the sole dark spot in a sea of yellow, Aomori bore not a single scratch on his body. Instead, he sported a few burn marks from electric shocks. He raised his hand as usual, and the Holy Light descended, gradually lightening the burns, leaving only a faint green hue.

At this point, it was the fifth day since entering the dungeon. Since his last battle with the Mega Beedrills, Aomori had encountered no significant gatherings of Pokémon. He had only encountered and defeated minor Pokémon like Rattatas and Oddishes along the way. His experience bar had remained stagnant until today when he met the Pikachu, and...

After just one battle, his Energy attribute had increased by three points!

Energy and Spirit had always been Aomori's weaknesses, and he had only been able to catch up in terms of physicality through the use of free attribute points. Now that he had found a way to improve, how could he not be delighted?

"Pikachu No. 1, I admit it, we can be friends." Aomori approached the largest Pikachu, gave it an arbitrary name, and healed its wounds with a spell. In response to its bewildered gaze, he continued, "Pika, pika?"

Clearly, Pikachu No. 1 was still puzzled, so Aomori added, "This was all a misunderstanding. I just wanted to get to know you all faster, so I chose a more aggressive approach. After all, fist-to-fist combat is the most direct form of communication between men. To show my sincerity, I can start by healing you."

With a quiet change of title to "Mr. Charming" (+5 Charm), Aomori revealed a charming smile, which had an excellent effect.

Pikachu No. 1 suddenly found the human's smile incredibly attractive, just like the innocent smile of a little flower from the neighboring village under the moonlight on that night.

For the sake of that smile, it chose to temporarily lose its memory.

After Aomori finished treating Pikachu No. 1, the dazed Pikachu led its little companions to accompany Aomori to Pikachu Village.

...

Pikachu Village was nestled in a valley, with a small waterfall on one side. The waterfall cascaded down ten meters and gathered into a small stream at the bottom of the valley. More than a dozen fDomat trees lined the stream, providing the main source of food for the Pikachu.

The entire village was filled with the sounds of birds and the fragrance of flowers, resembling an idyllic paradise.

Standing at the entrance of the valley, Aomori couldn't help but sigh, "What a beautiful place!"

"Pika, pika!" Pikachu No. 1 patted its small chest proudly, looking delighted.

The village was home to both Pikachu and Raichu. Although Pikachu had the potential to evolve into Raichu, it required a Thunder Stone to do so, so wild Pikachus and Raichus were the two primary forms encountered in the wild.

Some of the more adventurous Raichus, with bodies the size of grapefDomats, were quite fearless. Some playfully tugged at Aomori's animal hide pants, and some even jumped onto his body.

Aomori didn't mind and maintained his humble and polite smile.

"Pika!" Suddenly, an elderly Pikachu with a cane and a beard called out. The commotion among the Pikachus subsided as they parted to create a path. The elderly Pikachu approached Aomori, first nodding slightly, and then tapping Pikachu No. 1 on the head with its cane.

"Pika, pika?!"

"Pika, pika..." Pikachu No. 1 touched the lump on its head, looking wronged.

"Pika, pika." The elderly Pikachu cast a sidelong glance at Aomori.

"Pika, pika, pika..." Pikachu No. 1 began to explain, occasionally flexing its biceps and demonstrating how Aomori had defeated Pikachu, ending with a passionate embrace with the defeated Pikachu, signifying reconciliation.

After listening to Pikachu No. 1's account, the elderly Pikachu gazed directly into Aomori's eyes. Aomori responded with a smile, and his eyes were filled with profound remorse and sincerity.

"Pika, pika." Finally, the elderly Pikachu turned and extended its lightning-shaped tail to Aomori.

"?" Aomori understood that this was the elderly Pikachu's way of showing goodwill, but without a tail of his own, which part of his body should he use to respond?

Surrounded by dozens of curious Pikachus, Aomori thought for a moment before slowly extending his right hand to gently touch the elderly Pikachu's tail.

"Pika, pika!" The elderly Pikachu laughed heartily.

"Pika, pika!" The other Pikachus cheered, and they crowded around Aomori, ushering him into the valley.

The valley's open space was covered with straw. Aomori was arranged to sit on it, and the Pikachus came and went, bringing colorful fDomats freshly plucked from the trees and jars of homemade fDomat wine.

Once everything was arranged, the elderly Pikachu waved its cane, and the open-air feast began.

"Pika, pika!"

The Pikachus either swayed their chubby waists or sang merrily, dancing with enthusiasm as they fell into revelry.

However, Aomori continued to sit there, his mouth sporting a consistent smile that seemed out of place.

"It's truly carefree here, but a life like this will only dull a person's fighting spirit."

"Pichu?" A tiny Pichu noticed Aomori. It jumped onto Aomori's leg, holding half of a large fDomat in its arms, and offered it to him.

"Pichu, pichu!"

Aomori accepted the fDomat, patted the Pichu's head, and smiled. "Thank you."

"Pichu, pichu!"

The Pichu's eyes formed crescent moons, and it happily exclaimed before grabbing another piece of fDomat, which it began nibbling on while sitting on Aomori's thigh.

Not far away, Pikachu No. 1 was dancing with a Pikachu with a tail shaped like a heart. Sensing Aomori's gaze, it winked smugly.

"Heh." Aomori chuckled softly and murmured, "This really is a great place..."
