"Don't put all the blame on me. I already had Juan to do that part of the job, but that stupid brat messed everything up! Entirely it's not my fault. You should have done it instead if you really want my father to die." James said in an irritated tone.
"I would have done it if your grandfather trusted me more." Marietta just could not understand why would James let others do his dirty work when he can approach his father without any problem.
James didn't respond. Truthfully, the reason why he ordered Juan to do his bidding to put poison on his father's food is that he did not have the courage to do it himself. Despite the fact that he is angry at his father for hiding to the truth about his birth and not making him the heir, he still sees his father as the who raised him.
It may sound hypocritical of him, but deep inside he knows that he did not want his father to die directly by his own hands.
