Chapitre 1: Unexpected Transmigration

The cold, damp walls of the prison cell seemed to close in on Jeremiah with each passing day. Yet, in the suffocating darkness, his heart bore a lightness—a twisted satisfaction from the vengeance he had exacted.

The silence of the night was his only companion, aside from the haunting memories of his family, whose lives were brutally snuffed out by the very culprits he had sent to their graves before justice, in its most ironic form, clamped its shackles around his wrists.

Jeremiah lay on his thin mattress, staring at the ceiling as if it were a screen displaying the last moments he had shared with his family. The laughter, the warmth, the love—all were ripped away in a single, devastating night.

Jeremiah couldn't help but let his mind wander back to the night that changed everything. The night he lost his family to a senseless act of violence, and the night he had decided the price for such an atrocity was death.

Jeremiah's hands clenched into fists as the images played like a macabre slideshow in his mind's eye.

The laughter of his younger sister, the warmth of his mother's embrace, the proud look in his father's eyes—all brutally snatched away. The police had called it a home invasion gone wrong, but Jeremiah knew better.

It was a targeted hit, born out of a vendetta against his father, a man who had dared to stand up against the local crime syndicate.

The justice system had failed them, bogged down by bureaucracy and corruption. So, Jeremiah had taken matters into his own hands.

One by one, he had hunted down those responsible, ensuring they paid the ultimate price for their actions.

A seething anger had taken root, propelling him down a path of retribution that ultimately led him here, to a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

"Was it worth it?" he often mused causing the question to echo off the stone walls, unanswered.

The faces of his family visited him in his dreams, sometimes smiling, other times weeping, blurring the lines between solace and torment.

His reverie was interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching his cell. Jeremiah sat up, expecting the usual gruff guard coming to check in. Instead, he was met with the sight of an old man, clothed in garments that seemed too refined for a place like this. His eyes twinkled with subtle yet unfathomable knowledge.

"Good evening, Jeremiah," the old man greeted with a clear and soft voice that cut through the stillness of the cell.

"Who are you?" Jeremiah's voice was guarded, his body tensing in anticipation of a threat.

He suddenly recalled that he was supposed to get a new cellmate today since his previous one was stabbed to death by inmates.

'Oh, this old man? What a pity... He won't last a day in here.'

"I am someone who has been watching you for quite some time," the old man replied with a benevolent yet cryptic smile. "And I know much more than just your name. I know of your pain, your anger, and the justice you sought in your own hands."

Jeremiah's skepticism was evident. "Huh? What are you talking about?" he asked, his interest piqued despite his mistrust.

The old man took a step closer causing the light from the corridor to cast shadows on his aged face. "I am here to offer you a second chance," he said as his eyes locked onto Jeremiah's. "A chance to start anew in a world vastly different from this one, where the constraints of your current predicament no longer bind you."

"A different world?" Jeremiah scoffed.

The idea sounded like the ramblings of a madman. Yet, something in the old man's demeanor suggested he was not merely delusional.

"Yes, a world where darkness reigns and supernatural beings wield powers beyond your imagination. In that world, you will be given a new identity, a new purpose," the old man explained, his voice imbued with a sincerity that was hard to ignore.

"And why would you offer me this?" Jeremiah asked, his curiosity battling his skepticism.

"Because I believe everyone deserves a chance at redemption, even if it's in a place where redemption carries a different meaning," the old man replied while extending his hand as if offering an invisible gift. "But be warned, this new life comes with its own challenges and adversaries. You will be reborn in a realm where your strength, both physical and moral, will be constantly tested."

Jeremiah's heart raced at the prospect. The pain and regret of his past life weighed heavily on him, and the chance to escape, to be someone else, was tantalizing.

"L O L... Why am I even indulging in this madness?" he asked, the battle within him evident in his voice.

"You have nothing left to lose here, Jeremiah. And everything to gain there," the old man said, his gaze unwavering. "But you must decide quickly. Opportunities like this don't linger."

A moment of silence passed as Jeremiah pondered the old man's offer. The thought of leaving behind a world that had only given him sorrow for a chance at something entirely new was both terrifying and exhilarating.

He still didn't believe it but there was no harm in giving it a try, right?

"I'll do it," The words left Jeremiah's lips before he could second-guess his decision.

A smile spread across the old man's face, one that held both warmth and a hint of sorrow. "Very well," he said, reaching out to touch Jeremiah's forehead.

In that instant, a surge of energy, unlike anything Jeremiah had ever felt coursed through his body. His vision slowly blurred and then darkened entirely as he lost consciousness.

When Jeremiah opened his eyes again, the world around him was bathed in moonlight, completely different from the dim confines of his cell.

He was lying in a luxurious bed. His body felt powerful yet unfamiliar. Panic set in as he sat up, taking in his surroundings—the enthralling room adorned with rich decorations and ancient artifacts was clearly a chamber of royalty.

He rushed to a mirror, and the reflection that greeted him was not his own. Instead, a strikingly handsome young man with pale skin, piercing red eyes, enthralling golden hair, and an air of nobility looked back at him.

Jeremiah touched his face, his mind reeling as he tried to grasp the reality of his situation.

The realization hit him like a wave—the old man's promise had been fulfilled. He was no longer Jeremiah, the convicted murderer serving a life sentence.

He was someone—or something—entirely different. A crown lay on a pedestal beside the mirror, and as Jeremiah picked it up, the reality of his new identity settled upon him. And with this realization came a flood of questions. What was this world he had been thrust into? What challenges and dangers awaited him? And, perhaps most importantly, who had he become?

He stood there, trying to piece together his thoughts when voices behind him broke his concentration.

"Your Highness, are you awake?" a sultry half sleepy voice called from the other end

"Yes," Jeremiah—no, Edmund, as he reminded himself—responded, steadying his voice.

He slowly turned around but instantly got frozen in place the moment he spotted what lay before him.

On the enormous bed was a beautiful oval face-shaped lady with her cleavage exposed. The flowery undies strapped to her chest didn't do well to hide the massive milky mounds peeking through the fabric.

Her silky dark hair perfectly cascaded down her shoulders and her sleepy expression made the sight even more glamorous.

Edmund was frozen in place but his eyes had a mind of their own as they wandered about.

"Your Highness, are you okay?" Another seductive feminine voice rang out from the side.

Right beside the first was yet another beauty. She had short red hair, almond-shaped brown eyes, and semi-full lips which were pursed, making her look even more seductive.

Her chest was completely exposed with no form of covering. Although her busts weren't as massive as the right, they happened to be super perky.

Edmund couldn't help but gaze at the two alluring pinkish dots that subconsciously made him gulp saliva.

'That old man wasn't joking when he said my morals would be tested... What the hell is this?'

His eyes suddenly narrowed, 'Did they just call me your Highness?'

"Your Highness, why are you looking at me like that? Do you want us to try getting it up again?" As if to answer his internal turmoil, the young lady voiced in a seductive tone while perking her chest out with her lips curved upwards.

Edmund fell silent while trying to piece things together

"Your Highness, are you okay?"

"Your Highness, do you need something?"

Both ladies kept voicing with looks of concern.

'A massive bedroom decorated royally... A near beautiful masculine face that would leave male models on earth envious... A crown by the bedside... Two beautiful unclad ladies chanting 'Your Highness'... am I a prince?'

The two ladies stared in confusion as they watched Edmund mouth away without actual words escaping his mouth.

"Where is t..." A sudden wave of headache hit Edmund, leaving the words stuck in his throat.

"Hnnghh!" He groaned in pain as a voice appeared in his mind.

"I have left you with a gift that will guide you and assist you in accomplishing great things..."

It was the voice of the old man.

What came next was an automatic voice, ripping through his mind.

The sharp pain he felt suddenly multiplied.

Unknown Memories began playing like footage in his mind at a very fast pace.

"Your Highness!"

The young lady's voice sounded even more worried as he clutched his head with bloodshot eyes.

"Get out!" Edmund yelled causing them to jump up from the bed with frightened looks.

"Out!" He yelled once more and they proceeded to scamper away like flustered chickens.

"Arrrrghhhhh!" He screamed in pain as his vision faded.
