Arabella noted to recheck any possible upcoming events. If there was one Ferdinand was invited in, Raymond would probably attend in his stead again once Ferdinand heads to the northern borders.

But Arabella should also be attending such events since she was supposed to be Ferdinand's date if he attended.

It would be rude to not have a member of the Imperial Family present if they were invited. It was among the reasons why Raymond always ends up attending for Ferdinand.

Raymond was Ferdinand's cousin, the Prime Minister, and his butler so he automatically becomes his representative in events.

But now that Arabella was Empress and Ferdinand's wife, she should be the one attending in his stead unless it was a meeting related to work that she should not be part of even as the Empress.

"When will you depart?" Arabella inquired once dinner was over.

"As soon as the knights are gathered. I'd probably be off before dawn," Ferdinand replied.
