Chapitre 67: Priscilla

We arrived at Aramis’s place of employment ten awkward minutes later.

The Prince had latched onto the girl’s hand, clearly smitten with her, but the girl didn’t appear thrilled by his attention. Her eyes flew to me more often than not, but she always blushed and looked away a moment later.

Clearly, I hadn’t thought about the appeal of power in Aramis’s profile. I had created her to be kind and caring, but I never truly stopped to think about what made her tick as a person. Well, lesson learned. I would have to ‘flesh out’ my characters much more from now on.

The place Priscilla lived at was a veritable mansion with white cobblestones, marble columns and a grand entrance that I once found described in the Count of Montecristo by Dumas. Most of the architecture and its descriptions were based on that book, making them believable and way too grand at the same time.
