I plopped face-first into my bed, sighing tiredly.

And we sadly found out that this body of mine would not be able to practice martial arts the way he did, not even to a tenth of its intensity. So, he gave me breathing exercises instead. Although I didn’t completely understand the purpose of it until I finally got it right.
‘I can’t believe it took me a whole month to learn to breathe properly!’
It was disheartening, especially knowing that there were five other breathing techniques with their own distinct specialty.
The first one I got right was what my beloved called ‘wood breathing,’ which was supposed to enhance cell regeneration. This does not only make one less prone to sickness, but it could also heal wounds and poisoning that weren’t immediately mortal.
