A calloused hand landed on my forearm, dragging me away from my musings and Selene’s dry voice. “We’re here,” Gwyn said before opening the door to the carriage. Immediately, our bodies were assaulted by a draft of cold wind that made me regret not asking about the plan in advance.

He stepped boldly outside, draped in a dark green heavy coat, khaki pants, and boots, and me… What was I to do in only a dress? I should have packed warmer clothes, or at least worn something else than a sleeveless dress that pushed up my breasts.
