The unborn child was still a Zygote. This, Chiron easily recognized by the Rune symbols on it. These were the rune symbols he had drawn on her body earlier on with his own blood. 

Those rune symbols were to trace and track his blood within her body. Naturally, this was to track the unborn child in her. 

As he did this, Claudia's eyes followed him. all the while, shaking her head in horror. She was knowledgeable enough to see and understand what he was taking away from her. 

"No! No!! please don't do it. Don't do it. Don't take my baby away. Please don't..." She pleaded as she bit her lips, tears fell from her eyes like a rain and mucus from her nose. She begged and promised everything.
