Axel's mocking laughter echoed in the room. "Following you… are you serious? Never!"
Alan stayed calm, unbothered by Axel's refusal. Instead, he turned his gaze to the others gathered in the room, his voice clear and commanding. "My offer isn't just for him," he said, making eye contact with each person. "It's for anyone willing to listen. Follow me, and I guarantee you and your men a better chance to survive this miserable game."
A murmur passed through the crowd as they sensed his seriousness. Some exchanged glances, unsure of what to make of the bold proposal.
In a flash of hostility, Zencher stepped forward, raising his sword at Alan with a sneer. "Lowlifes like you have no right to lead us!"
Alan's mouth twisted into an amused smirk. "Lowlife?" he chuckled, casually gesturing to the blade. "Funny words coming from the one stupid enough to threaten with a sword in a safe zone."
