"He's waking up," an annoying voice ruined my dream of a sunny meadow. Swatting my hand to stop the alarm, like Selena did every morning, my palm landed on a person's boot.
Shocked at the unexpected object, I scrambled backward. Whilst I dragged myself a few feet away from the annoyance, my hands gloriously took in the rough earthen dirt beneath me.
No hologram could compare to the real thing, this was dirt, actual dirt.
Pushing aside my curious excitement, I let my eyes adjust to the dim light, noticing we were inside an empty circular tent with only a pole holding it up in the middle. I spotted two familiar faces from the direction I'd moved from. Lois and the Elf who had carried me.
"Would you look at that, I think you're scaring the kid?" The elf laughed exaggeratedly, whilst Lois kicked his shin. The elf did not even flinch.
"Hey, kid, you're not scared of me right?" Lois somewhat pouted as he placed his hands on his hip.
So I hope you've noticed some similarities between Luna before and now. She still doesn't give a sh*t about learning people's names, is curious (so much so it killed the kitty), and has a tendency to be maternal.
How are we liking this version of her? This blank slate?
I wrote the story this way because I wanted to emphasize that suicide leads to the end, no matter what.
Luna will not 'recover' her memories or anything to do with everything you've read so far... Are you mad at me?
Well that's life, this is what happens when that choice occurs, we chose the end, so how do you expect to turn the page?
It's only by miracle that I didn't torture you by actually ending this story to emphasize this point, but instead made Luna start over losing all power to her soul. Just like what I believe happens in the end (I believe in reincarnation).
The journey now, starts to show growth in Luna in a whole new way. She lost all meaning to her life, her existence, right now in her blank state, she's seeking her meaning for existing.
I want to show no matter how terrible life is, if we just keep turning the pages we can find out it's entire beautiful story until it's natural end...
