Time passed and Will decided to leave the library, taking a breath of fresh air he smiled as he excitedly thought over what he collected from some of the more ancient stone tablets he read.
He read over three thousand records!
The knowledge he gained was immense!
He started to go through the knowledge he gained as he walked along a path enjoying the cool weather and the gentle beams of sunlight, while sounds of snow crunching beneath his feet could be heard.
The ancient tablets he started to read were hard to understand, at first glance they looked like absolute gibberish, but after a few seconds passed the characters rapidly squirmed as they started to turn into something he could understand.
According to the tablet, in a far distant past the universe was once full of life and humans that cultivated an energy named Qi.
The energy that is called Qi nowadays is any energy that isn't mana, the inhabitants of this universe have no idea of the power they cannot access.
At that time, there was an entity who discovered mana and was the only one who could use mana. He favoring mana, looked down on those who cultivated Qi, not because they were weak, no, but because he gained the ability to manipulate the world with just thought alone.
You see, mana strengthens the mind firstly, then in later stages strengthens the body. For Qi cultivators, Qi strengthens the body firstly, then the mind in later stages.
Through certain techniques mana can be used to better strengthen the body, but it's affect towards strengthening the body cannot compare to Qi. Same for using Qi to strengthen the mind through certain techniques, it pales in comparison to mana's affect on the mind.
The ability to manipulate the world comes in the later stages for Qi cultivators through the use of incantations. While those who cultivate mana can manipulate the world with thought alone in the beginning, although the use of incantations for them allows them to wield more power than just raw thought alone.
After years of cultivating mana, the entity raged through the universe because of one fact: The universe would not tolerate the cultivation of mana.
So throughout his cultivation he had to defend himself from heavenly tribulation, but that wasn't the only reason he raged.
He was the only one in the universe who could cultivate mana!
Thousands of years passed and the entity became the strongest in the universe, he, after all this time successfully merged Qi and mana together to make a new power!
This power could only be used by those who could cultivate both Qi and mana, and only deities are born with that ability, but even deities only have a .00001% chance of being born with that ability.
Another thousands of years passed until the entity realized there is never going to be anyone like him again after searching over an over again.
In his travel he felt unmeasurable hatred towards all life forms that cultivated Qi. In the end he realized that for the ability he possessed, once he merged Qi and mana together the realm he was in would never change!
Although you gain an immense power, your cultivation will never progress again!
The correct thing to do was to wait until he reached his absolute limits in cultivating Qi and mana, then combine them together to increase his power to it's final level…
But he did this early and ruined his future path of cultivation!
Combined with his hatred towards all things Qi cultivation, he added his hatred towards his own failure and decided to change the universal laws.
Heavenly laws that manage worlds are born from universal laws, so, in order to change all heavenly laws, he had to change the universal laws!
He, being a deity, was born with the knowledge of where the universe's core was, plus he already destroyed the barrier protecting the core.
In the end he changed the universal laws!
Heavenly tribulation ran down on all worlds in existence, erasing all weaker life forms that could cultivate Qi, the stronger ones that were able to split the void took all they could and fled the universe.
Qi cultivators that came from other universes could still cultivate Qi when they got into this universe, but if they couldn't avoid the heavenly tribulation pursuing them, then they could only die, or leave.
The change in the universal laws specifically targeted the bloodlines of those from this universe. Whenever the original inhabitants returned they would be targeted by all life forms in the universe automatically, unless those life forms decided to challenge the heavens in that case they would help them just to mock the heavens of their failure.
They were rejected..
The entity, after chasing out and killing the weaker Qi cultivating entities (plants included, and other deities) recreated all life to only cultivate mana.
But this was only the beginning of the end to Qi cultivation in this universe, there were more stone tablets written by a single survivor whom masked his cultivation so no qi leaked into his surroundings.
It is I, the author!
I am sorry for the disappearance! Spent time on friends and family so I couldn't update.
This chapter is a tad short compared to my usual chapter length. The information might seem unnecessary, but it's not!I tried to foreshadow, but that is my weak point!I hope you can better understand things in later chapters!
The system will make frequent appearances in later chapters!
