Chapitre 238: Weather phenomenon?
Everyone came back to where the ship was, Ash returned Charizard and let out Fuecoco, and Friede received the coordinates that they would be at what happened to be the beach near the south of the island.
As they approached they saw Orla hugging Abra thanking her for letting them get all the supplies they needed to repair the ship, and behind her were a few crates of materials that Orla needed.
Mollie and Murdock were back on the ship and at the moment they were thanking Gyarados, Lapras, and Clefairy (mainly Lapras and Clefairy) for the help against the Explorers, and they did it by giving them (mainly Lapras and Clefairy) treats.
Lapras was eating happily as she was receiving head pats and special treats Murdock made for her, Clefairy did the same but she didn't accept the head pats, meanwhile Gyarados was less enthusiastic about it, sure he would also like some treats but he didn't say anything.
As they approached and everyone noticed them they called out and waved over as they lowered the plank so that they could get on, as they got on Abra teleported out of Orla's arms and back into Ash's jacket, and Lapras swam over with Clefairy on her back.
Ash smiled and went lower patting Lapras as Clefairy jumped in his bag, Pikachu of course, was sitting on Ash's shoulder sighing seeing now his personal space he always had to himself was being taken, especially since Fuecoco was standing in the hood.
Orla leaned over the rails, "Hey, Ash I didn't think you'd be here, but I won't complain your Pokemon sure were a big help,"
Murdock leaned over handing another plate of treats to Lapras, "Yeah, and this girl is so sweet, and she so nice, when she's not scared that is,"
Mollie was leaning against the rail, "Well duh, she's an infant,"
"...Eh?" Murdock said with shock as Lapras took the treats happily and shared them with the other Pokemon on Ash.
Ash rubbed Lapras on the head, "Yeah, poor girl too, I found her left behind, her herd probably moved on somewhere else since Lapras doesn't come round here in Kanto except during spring and winter,"
They became visibly sad at that, everyone, but then they saw how happy Lapras was getting a head pat from Ash.
Just then Ludlow walked out slowly from the ship's bridge holding a circular object slowly getting close, he walked up to Friede and handed it to him, "Looks like those Explorers put something on us,"
Friede looked at it and then signed realizing what it was, "A tracker, so that's how they found us," he started to grip it hard and crushed it, then he threw the pieces in the water.
"By the way Friede," Mollie looked up from where she was, "Who's the new kid, we saw him out in the forest but why is he with you?"
Friede smiled and slapped Roy's back, "Well I'm glad you asked, this is the newest member of the Rising Volt Tacklers,"
Roy took a step forward mainly from the shock of getting slapped on the back, "Hello, nice to meet you all, I'm Roy and this is my new partner Cyndaquil,"
Murdock got closer and greeted Roy with a handshake and asked about any allergies, but Mollie looked over at Friede, "Seriously another kid? You didn't kidnap this one too,"
"Hey, Liko was an exception and we all tried with Ash, but no he's the one who asked," Friede defended himself.
Mollie sighed and dropped the topic, meanwhile, Orla was starting her repairs, according to her, it would take 2 maybe 3 days preferably, since that way she can be sure they won't crash anytime soon.
Friede sighed, "Well, you've got a point we don't know what even was that, Thunderstorms don't show up out of nowhere."
Ash was now sitting on the railing next to Roy and Liko and looked up, "Oh you mean the weird weather phenomenon?"
Friede looked up, "You saw it too?"
"Not just that, I've also been looking into it, turns out it is large storms and waves all across the oceans, but the weirdest thing, is that it's only happening here in the Orange Islands, but more specifically only in the north of the Orange Islands, nowhere else,"
They seemed surprised at that, Liko leaned over, "Wait so what does that mean? That can't be a coincidence right?"
"Probably not, the weather doesn't act like it this, and it's weird since then there's also been snowstorms and heatwaves for seconds, but the most common has been Thunderstorms,"
Just then as Ash was talking the sky became cloudy and started pouring down, but Gyarados put his tail up and covered them as the rain came then immediately went away.
Ash gave a thumbs up, "Thanks bud," and then turned back to everyone, "Like that see, that is unnatural, something is doing that, or at least not doing it right."
Friede rubbed his chin, "Do you have any ideas? Any theories or leads,"
"Well, yeah I have one, I'll be honest I wasn't actually fully here for a vacation, I came to get some stuff and then I saw this start, although I don't have any current theories I think I know what's going on,"
"The Legendary birds, specifically the ones that reside here in the Orange Islands, I think something happened to them," Ash revealed
"Wait what!" Roy and Liko said at the same time
Friede nodded and rubbed his chin, "Yeah, that actually makes a lot of sense, if they control the weather and only the weather here is strange then it might be a good thought, but the question is why,"
"I don't know that fully myself, although I heard some stories back when I was younger, so I was planning on going to Shamouti Island to look into it. They are the current experts with the most connection to these legendary birds."
Friede thought to himself, then smiled, "Not a bad idea, mind if we join you?"
Immediately everyone looked at Orange Islands, "Ehhh?"
Orla looked at him, "Friede are you serious, don't we have to get out of here and head back to Paldea?"
"You said it yourself, we can't take another surprise thunderstorm so we can't fly, we are effectively trapped here until these surprise weather Phenomenons stop."
Orla's eye twitches seeing Friede use her logic against her
Friede continued, "Besides, don't you remember what we Rising Volt Tacklers stand for, we travel the world to learn secrets and discover, if you don't think this adventure will have both then I don't know what to tell you!"
Orla sighed into her hand, "Well, I can't say you're wrong…"
Liko and Roy both looked hopeful, "Wait so that means,"
"I guess we have no choice," Orla said, sounding tired as she looked at Murdock and Mollie, "What do you guys think?"
Murdock shrugged, "I mean, I am fine either way, but if we can't leave might as well try,"
Mollie nodded, "Yeah but still, I'd rather not, can't we ask that Abra to teleport us out of here,"
Ash almost burst out laughing, "The heck, this thing is like 50,000 tons minimum, do you really think my Abra can do that, maybe when I train her and she evolves them Mega evolves but even then,"
Mollie sighed, "I guess not,"
Friede slapped his hand and looked at Captain Pikachu who was standing on the railing next to Pikachu, they were sharing energy through their cheek pouches, "Ok, let's let Cap decide then!"
"Pika? (What?),"Captain Pikachu said since he wasn't paying attention,
"Ok, it's decided! We're going to investigate!" Friede said, sounding victorious.
Mollie lowered her head and whispered over to Orla, "Another suspicious translation,"
Friede walked next to Ash and pulled him in, "So Ash I guess we're joining you!"
"That's fine but can you move your hand," Ash said as something was visibly moving under his shirt,
When Friede removed his hand a little Dratini popped her head out, making everyone visibly reel at the cute little dragon, "Yeah sorry it's just this little one hatched a bit ago and she likes living inside my jacket,"
Murdock nodded seeing the little dragon then realized something, "How many Pokemon live inside your clothes? First, there is your Abra, Fuecoco is in your hood, Dratini is under your clothes, your Clefairy is in your backpack and Pikachu rides your shoulder, what's next is there a Gastly in your shadow?"
Ash: "..."
"Aint no way,"
Gastly popped her head out and waved, "Jie Jie! (っ◕‿◕)っ"
"... I'm going to go prepare dinner," Murdock said as he walked out.
"Umm, ok," Friede said then looking at Ludlow, "Well Ludlow what do you say, well you captain the ship, we are traveling by water,"
Ludlow looked over at Friede and nodded, "Just tell me where to take her,"
Ash raised his hand, "I can help you with that, I've got the coordinates and a map already,"

Giovanni was sitting at his desk looking at the USB that was retrieved from the raid, across from him was Owari who came in and explained what was found.
He was frustrated but also a part of him wasn't surprised, the way Aster acted he should have seen this coming and now he's the fool for ever believing that idiot, but what he offered at the time was far too tempting.
Giovanni breathed into his hand, "So, Owari, you're saying that all of this was figured out by Agent D."
Owari nodded, "Yes, although I can say most of the grunts we brought pulled their weight and some even went above and beyond like Enid and Jay, or even that James and Jessie, but D. showed his worth,"
"He was the one to hack and steal everything from their computers and was the main cause that we took care of the boss and his… experiment let's say."
Giovanni nodded, "I see, where are they, on your ship there are only a few grunts, where are the scientists and the Boss, along with that Pokemon?"
Owari clenched his teeth and looked down, "Unfortunately I didn't receive this information from D. before, so I allowed him to take them, but now with this new information that might have been the worst idea I could have made,"
Giovanni sighed and waved his hand, "It's not your fault, a lot of people fall to Aster's, rather unique form of charm, I suppose prepare for a second raid, we will go and find Aster,"
Just then the intercom on Giovanni's dest rung as a secretary spoke, "Boss, agent D. is here, he is saying you'll want to see him,"
Giovanni felt surprised and so did Owari but they didn't say anything as Giovanni spoke back, "Let him in,"
A few seconds later Ash (Ashtwo) walked through the door with his Meowth stretched over his shoulder, "Boss, I have some things to report,"
Giovanni nodded and signaled for Ash to come closer as he stood next to Owari, "Owari told me about your endeavors and your intuition already, so is there anything other than that,"
Ash nodded and pulled out another USB and put it on the desk, "Sir, I hacked into the computers in Aster's main computer, and there I found more information, he's been working with them longer than I previously thought, he was their main source of funding since the beginning,"
"And other than that there are countless other reports that he has kept hidden and that the things I could find, there's no telling how much more he deleted or has on another server,"
Giovanni's face darkened, "I see, well then good work but I suppose you may have to get ready to go out again, this time to raid Aster's base,"
"Well, about that sir," Ash said as he closed his eyes,
Meowth yawned and in the process she and Giovanni's Persian locked eyes for a moment, then she looked away, not interested making Persian almost cough out blood.
"Sir, I teleported back to the mainland using my Drowzee, and when I was here and figured out all the things Aster has been doing I decided to try following him to find where he was taking the scientists."
Giovanni could see where this was going, "And?"
"He became overconfident, he was captured by the International Police, and as such the boss, his second in command, and the scientist were all taken into custody as well," Ash said, making the room go silent.
Giovanni clenched his hand, "That fool, compared to him Petrel is a genius, when I get my-"
Suddenly his phone on his desk started ringing, and the caller ID was none other than Aster, he frowned and answered it.
"Hey Boss, I'm calling from a holding cell, turns out that there might be a mole since they managed to find me so easily,"
Giovanni held his anger and asked, "And how did you sneak into the pier in the first place?"
Aster laughed, "Sneak? Oh Boss you joke too much, no why should I have to hide away, I just pulled into the Dock,"
Giovanni's eye twitched, "So, you're saying that you took no effort to hide your presence and were caught,"
"Yes exactly, I knew you would understand, anyway when can I expect for you to break me out of here?"
Giovanni looked furious, "Aster, you can rot in jail for the rest of your miserable life,"
"Wha- b-boss you can't be serious?"
"I know what you've been doing behind my back, I know about everything from your involvement with the raiders to everything else, so guess what, from now on you are not, and will never be associated with Team Rocket, if you ever get your miserable face out then don't think about coming back!"
Aster grew frustrated he didn't want to lose everything he worked for, "No, no, you can't do this to me, I've been here for so long. Do you know how much I Sacrificed!?"
"Save it, you can rot in Hell," Giovanni said as he hung up and blocked that number.
Giovanni then pressed his intercom, "Tell our spies in the international police to make sure Aster doesn't spill any secrets,"
Then he finally looked back at Owari and Ash, "I apologize you need to see that, however with Aster now out we will need to fill some places, and I see that you 2 deserve a reward for your good work."
"Owari, you will be promoted to Admin and take over Aster's work, I expect good work from you,"
Owari nodded and looked almost happy, now he was finally an Admin so Sayoko couldn't rub that in his face any longer, "Thank you, sir,"
Then he looked at Ash, "Agent D. you have proven yourself very valuable in the short time you have been here, so you will also receive a promotion, you will take over Owari's place along with keeping the previous benefits,"
"Yes sir," Ash said keeping it brief
"Very well, both of you are dismissed, take 1 month of vacation and if you have a request then I'll see if I can grant it,"
Ash and Owari walked out of the room and as soon as the door closed Owari finally took a breath, he had been holding his breath ever since the phone call, he looked at Ash who gave him a nod.
Owari chuckled and put a hand on Ash's shoulder, "Thanks, if you need something just ask,"
