Chapter 35: Evolution, Kirlia! Rasengan?

---

The appearance of Gyarados left everyone staring at Hikaru in disbelief.

Who didn't know that Gyarados was the strongest Pokémon in this secret realm?

Eventually, the school offered one million for the Gyarados. While this value was slightly lower than the market price, Hikaru handed it over without hesitation. After all, it was thanks to the school that he got this opportunity.

Still, Hikaru made a mental note: if given a chance in the future, he would raise a Magikarp into a powerful Gyarados himself.

---

Back home, Hikaru fed his two hard-working partners their favorite energy cubes. As he did, a thought struck him.

"Oh, right, the monthly entry refresh is coming up soon. Let's see if anything good appears!"

Monthly entries often had a high probability of yielding blue-grade entries, which were typically very useful.

"Strange... why has Kei Hoshino been avoiding me lately?" Hikaru mused.

Over the past few days, Kei seemed to be going out of his way to avoid Hikaru. Hikaru's instincts told him that this wasn't just a coincidence.

Could it be... he was involved in the attack from before?

If so... Kei wouldn't be allowed to walk away unscathed.

Hikaru's eyes flashed coldly. He had no mercy for those who wanted to harm him.

---

For now, Hikaru focused on spending his newly acquired wealth. He wasn't one to hoard money like a miser. To him, money was just a means to make his Charmeleon and Ralts stronger. If spending it meant they could grow faster, it was well worth it.

Moreover, this secret realm, until it merged with reality, remained a vast treasure trove he could revisit endlessly.

---

"Whatever. No use overthinking it. Sleep first!"

Youthful energy ensured Hikaru fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

---

By October 4th, Hikaru had made significant investments in his team. For Charmeleon, he had purchased Thunder Punch and Ice Punch learning machines to complement its Fire Punch. With these, Charmeleon mastered the legendary "Farmer's Three Punch Combo."

Ralts learned new skills, including Calm Mind and Toxic. Additionally, Hikaru no longer had to make energy cubes himself. He now bought the best cubes available on the market—though they were incredibly expensive.

---

That morning, Hikaru woke early. The monthly entry refresh was finally here.

Ralts was already practicing Psychic. For Ralts, Psychic symbolized mastery over mental energy, and perfecting it was crucial.

Charmeleon was busy perfecting its Ice Punch, throwing precise strikes in the spacious new training room.

Thanks to his newfound wealth, Hikaru had upgraded from a cramped yard to a luxurious home complete with advanced training equipment.

"Ralts~" (Good morning, Hikaru.)

"Roar!" (Morning!)

"Morning, you two," Hikaru replied, checking the clock.

It was only 6:30 AM, and his Pokémon were already hard at work. Their talent combined with relentless effort made Hikaru feel a bit lazy in comparison.

"Alright, let's see what the monthly entry gives us!"

Excited, Hikaru opened the system interface and clicked on the refresh button.

A flash of purple light appeared.

His heart skipped a beat—this time, the monthly entry yielded a purple-grade entry!

---

[Purple Entry: Rasengan]

When equipped, the Pokémon learns the Rasengan, a move with a base power of 120. The move can later evolve into Sage Art: Rasengan.

---

"Rasengan?" Hikaru was stunned.

Was this encouraging him to train a ninja Pokémon?

Images of ninja-like Pokémon flashed in his mind: Shedinja, Ninjask, Greninja... even Decidueye.

Among them, Greninja seemed the perfect match for Rasengan. Its water-based shuriken attacks, agility, and the incredible Ash-Greninja form from the anime made Hikaru's heart race with excitement.

But since he didn't have a Froakie, Hikaru decided to test the entry on Charmeleon.

Unfortunately, channeling energy into a compact, concentrated sphere wasn't Charmeleon's forte. Its fiery energy nearly blew up the training room.

"This isn't going to work..." Hikaru sighed.

He removed the entry, deciding to save it for a more suitable Pokémon in the future.

---

Hikaru opened the entry shop next. With 484 entry coins, he was still far from purchasing the coveted Bone Spirit Cold Flame. Most of the items in the shop were unremarkable, but one caught his eye:

---

[Legendary Summon Card]: Guarantees the appearance of a Legendary Pokémon within 30 minutes. 999 entry coins. (Limited to 3/3)

---

"Interesting..." Hikaru murmured.

With his Legendary Affinity Trait, this card could have extraordinary potential. Perhaps, he could even catch a Legendary Pokémon someday.

---

Another item caught his attention:

---

[Growth Fruit]: Boosts a Pokémon's level by 3 if under level 20, or by 1-2 levels if over level 20. (Single-use, no side effects.) 25 entry coins each.

---

This was perfect for Ralts, who was currently level 18. Two fruits would push it to level 20, enabling it to evolve into a Kirlia.

Hikaru purchased two immediately.

"Ralts, come here!"

"Ralts~?" (What's that smell? So fragrant!)

Charmeleon also leaned in curiously.

"One for each of you," Hikaru said, handing them the fruits.

"Roar!" (Thank you!) Charmeleon eagerly accepted.

---

After eating the fruit, Ralts's aura surged, and within moments, its level reached 20.

A dazzling white light enveloped Ralts.

"It's evolving!" Hikaru's eyes lit up.

When the light faded, the shy little Ralts was gone. In its place stood a graceful Pokémon resembling a ballerina in a white dress, with flowing green hair adorned with red horn-like structures.

Ralts had evolved into Kirlia.

---

"Kir~!" (I love you, Hikaru!)

The newly evolved Kirlia boldly jumped into Hikaru's arms, snuggling affectionately.

Kirlia's soft, jelly-like body made Hikaru smile awkwardly. "Alright, Kirlia, let's see what's changed after your evolution."
