[Adrian's POV]
"Where exactly are you taking me?" Adrian asked, taking a glance at the jeep's driver in apprehension.
Russell kept his eyes on the road, but he sent Adrian a mysterious smirk. "To your final destination."
That statement alone sent a shiver down his spine. When Russell drove into an empty alley with small houses not meant for the living, Adrian almost wanted to jump out of the vehicle as soon as it slowed down.
Russell just brought him to a cemetery.
Adrian gripped the seatbelt over his torso. "W-What are we doing here?"
"We're here to talk." Russell turned off the engine and hopped off of his jeep.
Despite the uneasiness he was feeling, Adrian followed Russell out of the vehicle and into a burial chamber painted in faded pink. Realization sunk in when he caught the name imprinted on the tomb inside.
It was Marianne's grave.
I am so late posting this, but I was in Iba (the very town the story was taking place at the moment). And I had so much insights about what the next book would be. :D
Yes, I decided it should be a new book instead of a new volume because the protagonist is neither Johan nor Adrian. :D
