Chapitre 87: Chapter 87

[Third Person's PoV]

Annabeth came with two thumbs up. "We received the okay, although it really took a lot of convincing. But after I showed them the benefits of it, they reluctantly agreed. When I say 'they,' I mean Chiron; Mr. D couldn't care any less, so I'll take that as a yes."

"Nice," Lucian said as they both fist-bumped.

"I'll go and get some of the Athena Cabin members to see if they would be interested in helping me come up with a blueprint," Annabeth said.

Lucian nodded. "And I'll go to Hephaestus' Cabin to see if they're interested in helping me build it."

Hestia sat there with a smile while looking at the two of them. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Luke and Thalia approaching.

"What are you two planning now?" Luke teased.

Thalia gave them a teasing smirk. "Whenever you two get together and look this happy, we just know you're planning something outrageous. Plus, ever since we got back from the quest, you two have been sneaking off somewhere."

Lucian scoffed before smiling. "Guilty as charged, and we are planning something… Actually, Luke, we could use your help."

Luke pointed at himself, taken aback as he didn't expect Lucian, of all people, to ask for help.

"No, I'm talking to a ghost behind you, also named Luke. Since I'm the son of Hades, I'm the only one that can see him," Lucian said with a straight face.

Thalia, Annabeth, and even Hestia started chuckling, causing Luke to grow embarrassed. "So what do you need?" he asked, trying to change the subject.

"I need you to do a survey," Lucian said with a smile.

"Huh?"

Even Thalia looked confused before Lucian and Annabeth explained what they were planning.

Their eyes widened alongside their smiles.

"I see, so you need me to see what the others would like in their new building since it's going to be for them," Luke nodded.

"Who knew you had it in you to be so kind? An apocalypse must be approaching," Thalia teased.

Lucian just looked at her with a plain look before raising his middle finger at her.

"Lucian!" Hestia reprimanded.

Lucian looked to the side with a pout for being reprimanded and put down his finger. The others giggled before Thalia then asked, "So what can I do to help?"

"Go with Annabeth and help with the interior design, since I just recently found out you're pretty good at that," Lucian replied.

Thalia rolled her eyes. "You're still on that?" she asked.

Lucian replied with a "yup" and started walking towards the Hephaestus Cabin.

"So who's interested in helping me with a big project!?" Lucian exclaimed as he walked in like he owned the place.

"Yo Lucian, what fun ideas have you planned now?" someone near the entrance asked.

What followed was other greetings, high fives, and pats on the back.

Charles Beckendorf, who was 12 years old, among the blacksmiths with a wrench resting on his shoulder, looked at Lucian with a grin. "So what's this big project you're planning?"

"Have you guys ever thought about building a dorm house before?" Lucian said, rubbing his hands with a villainous look in his eyes.

They looked at Lucian with amusement as some continued working while listening to hear what he was planning.

Seeing their interested looks, Lucian inwardly smirked. 'Gotcha. One thing I learned after hanging out with them: once you get them interested, they're as good as hooked.'

Lucian then smiled and rubbed the back of his head, rather embarrassed. "Well, I wanted to do something nice. I'm sure some of you noticed that some of the newcomers, as well as some of the older ones, feel out of place when being put in the Hermes cabin. So, my brilliance once again shined and I thought about building them a place. It will have Lady Hestia's blessings of a home… So what do you think? You've all built gadgets and weapons before, but never a building."

Some started to ponder the idea and others mumbled, thinking about it. "Oh, did I also mention that Athena's cabin is building a huge library?"

One of them scoffed jokingly, "What, you're planning on helping them build a library but not planning on building us a forge?"

"Wait, that's actually a good idea," Lucian said, putting a hand on his chin and walking back and forth.

"What if we build something for all the cabins, like the Apollo cabin gets a hospital, the Demeter cabin a greenhouse, the Ares Cabin a colosseum or something like that, and Aphrodite's cabin a beauty salon or something…"

"Why don't we just remake the entire camp then, upgrade it or something?" Charles said, hearing all of Lucian's ideas.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and slowly turned towards Charles, their eyes widened at what Charles had just implied.

He started getting nervous seeing everyone looking at him. "If you guys don't like it, you can just say so. No need for the intense staring contest."

Lucian simply disappeared into his shadow.

"Was my idea that bad?" Charles muttered with a puzzled look.

Lucian appeared from Annabeth's shadow, scaring the others and causing them to let out a yell.

Annabeth looked at Lucian and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Let's remake the camp," Lucian said in a serious tone.

"What?" Annabeth asked, surprised. The others who came out of their shock looked at Lucian in confusion.

"The Hephaestus Cabin gave me the idea. Since we're going to be building something, let's build something for everyone. We can build the Hephaestus Cabin a forge…" Lucian repeated what he had said and discussed earlier.

"Are you crazy!?" one of them asked, surprised.

"A little bit," Lucian said, pinching his fingers.

"But to remake the entire camp… it seems like such an outlandish idea."

"The gods won't like it," Annabeth said with a serious expression. "There's a reason the camp has stayed like this for so long. Due to modernization, there aren't many places that resemble ancient Greece anymore. We were already pushing it with the library and the dorm."

"Then that could be our theme," Lucian said.

Instantly, Annabeth understood where Lucian was going with it. "I see. All the buildings we build and make can be centered around Ancient Greece… It could be a gift to the gods so as not to incur their anger. We'll make this place a reminder of the place they once ruled."

The others turned towards each other and started discussing the pros and cons of their ideas.

"We need a way to convince Chiron and Mr. D," Thalia said.

"We'll protest," Lucian suggested. "We can get the others on board with the idea. Since they would be getting benefits, they would most likely agree to join our protest."

"Plus, this is a gift to the gods. I'm sure Chiron wouldn't be too opposed to the idea," Annabeth added.

Although they were both thinking that Annabeth and Lucian had a hidden agenda,

'Although I have to digest the Librarian potion, this will help me advance quickly with Architectural Engineering once I do drink it.'

'The gods are going to be the main recipients of my work; with this, my Artisan potion should advance nicely.'

Both Annabeth and Lucian looked into each other's eyes at the same time and smirked as a cunning light flashed between them.
