Chapitre 15: one condition!
Today Sam has a meeting to deal with at the restaurant, so he informed Martin to go with him after his classes.
THE MARGAO RESTAURANT- 7:45 Pm
They both arrived at the restaurant quarter of an hour ahead of time, they stepped out of the black Maybach and head down to the entrance of the restaurant.
"Good evening Mr. Peterson, Mr. Jonas is waiting for you. If you may follow me this way, please", the receptionist said.
" Good evening, lead the way", Sam replied.
Mr. Jonas was a powerful boss, who heads one of the biggest companies in the country after his father's death. He was 48 years old, with a strong personality and an unbeatable business. He is very kind and helpful. He supported "Peterson group" in the old days and now he got his back, Sam really respects this man.
Sam always tries to keep it formal with him but ended up getting rejected and Mr. Jonas tells him that he has to be less formal when dealing with him.
When they got to the table, Mr. Jonas stood up to greet them.
Sam's POV-
"Good to see you again Sam, how have you been?" he said smiling.
"Likewise Mr. Jonas, I've been fine, what about you? Did you enjoy your Vatican?" I asked him because he and his wife were on a vacation to LA a few weeks before.
"Actually, I did"
"If I am not mistaken then this is your younger brother Martin". He spoke up seeing Martin who is busy looking at his wristwatch because he has a party to attend and he promised his friends to show up there.
Hearing this Martin looked up to shake hands.
"Man, what made you come here?" did your father tell you to look into the business", he laughed.
"Well, I have to learn things so in case my brother and father need me I'll be there to handle things", Martin said.
We sat down and kept catching up and discussing some business when the receptionist came again followed by a staff with some coffee I was waiting for.
Martin's POV-
We sat at the table and started discussing business matters and I noticed Mr. Jonas didn't take it easy on him. He was strict and firm about the whole idea of the project but my brother was taking control of things.
"He is so damn smart and strong". I thought to myself.
I again watched my wristwatch to look at the time and it was 8:45 Pm now. I've to go there at 9 pm. I have so emerged in my thoughts that I wasn't even able to hear what they are talking about then I sense a silence for a moment so I asked Jordan and he again cleared me.
"I have a suggestion", I raised my voice and Sam told me to explain it.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Jonas admitted to smiling.
" whenever your father decides to give you the ability to lead the company, be sure that he'll be proud of you Martin just like he is with your brother Sam. You are a remarkable person with brilliant capacities for handling things, I congratulate you on that, keep it up until you're satisfied with your achievements."
I heard him and he seems no more than a lecturer to me.
"Thank you for the nice compliment Mr. Jonas I really appreciate your encouragement", I replied smiling widely, and turn my gaze towards my brother who is standing there with a smirk and I can feel proud in his eyes. and nodded.
We stood up and head to the exit of the restaurant after this successful meeting and we took the deal, I bet father will be so happy after hearing this because we need this deal anyhow.
We walked to the road where the cats were parked to pick up.
I then said goodbye to my brother and Mr. Jonas and stepped into my car which is driven by one of my friends to pick me up at the party.
He carried some party were clothes with him which I said him to bring for me because I can't attend the party in this office attire.
On the way, I changed my clothes into a plain white t-shirt a black jacket with a pair of sneakers, and of course, I had already been wearing my blue denim jeans.
IN THE DORM-
"Isn't it a nice day", Marion spoke up throwing her body on the bed.
" oh yes, we had fun with work. and the staffs are more friendly than I thought", Amelia replied while taking off the shoes.
"by the way, you haven't replied to my question yet, what have you thought about the guy", Amelia continued in an intense tone.
Marion turned to face her and opened her mouth to speak,
" Listen, I've not seen that guy yet and you didn't know anything about him what if he is already been married".
"What if he is not", Amelia cut her words.
"And don't be negative I bet he is not married and you know nothing is impossible, if you tried then he could be yours", she added.
With a heavy sigh, Marion said,
" Okay, I'll think about him but I have a condition.
"and what's that"
"I'll start to think about him if he again shows up in front of us."
"Okay Okay, Amelia squeezed her back smiling widely".
Marion doesn't want this condition of her to be happen because she has chosen her partner that club guy. in one look he has made such a great impression on her. she doesn't want to forget him. but she is also not sharing this incident with Amelia because she is so tired from her work that... she is too lazy to even open her mouth.
