Chapitre 81: Blood Arena!
"I see land in the distance!" One of the girls shouted down from the crows nest as i along some of my strongest girls headed for the bow of the ship.
I took out a scope and looked off in the distance, and after two days of travel, we had finally reached Serpent Island.
"Prepare to land! We set off for the closest tribe and take them down!" I shout out as everyone began to gather their weapons and prepare to raid.
The people of a serpent Island are aggressive to intruders and will kill on sight those that attack their lands, but the tribes are also aggressive to each other and only follow the strong.
The fastest way to ending this would be to challenge the tribes strongest, but only those they find worthy would they allow that in the first place.
So the first issue was getting past the ancient beasts, huge massive reptiles, giant saber tooth tigers, mammoths, great Apes all stood within the dense jungle before us.
"Their be beasts here, kill any that get in our way!" I shout to them all as we move through the jungle in the direction of the Giant Amazon Tribe.
Though soon enough it wasn't long before the massive beasts got in our way to require us to cut them down.
"Get them Zeus! Prometheus!" LinLin shouted before throwing out her 'homies' made from fire and clouds.
"Yes Mama!" (x2) they shout out as they dive head first into the fight before burning and electrocuting the massive beasts all the while we launched an onslaught of attacks to help take them down quickly to make our way through.
The beasts were tenacious, but their strength was negligible compared to the strongest we had with us in this fight with the strongest beast being only at level 200 while me and my strongest were between 300-350 by this point.
Me, Ruth, Lynn, Miruko, Chancey, Juggy(Juggernaut), the 4 Huntresses, LinLin, Shuten, Ibaraki, Ibuki and Yamato all had the strengths to fight these battles on our own, but we let the weaker ones get the finishing blows on these beasts to help power level their levels to get the strength they so needed as most were around level 100-150 who still needed to get stronger and these beasts would provide it.
(N) if your wondering how Ruth, Lynn and Miruko got caught if their so strong, it was because the others in their tribe were held as hostages to easily force them to surrender and be captured at that time.
"Tsk, this jungle is deeper than I thought, it's not wise we keep going while the sun is beginning to set, best we take these carcasses back to the beach and set up camp so we can get ready to attack tomorrow." I say as I look towards the setting sun in the distance.
We had been going for a few hours but because of all the fighting, we really didn't get that far by the time the sun began to set so we needed to head back to shore.
Only half of us have the skill 'NightVision' so I can't go forward with the thought of my women getting hurt, or worse eaten by sneak attacks from the various beasts of this jungle.
So we had to retreat, while taking the carcasses with us to cook or toss out to sea as the bodies will attract even more to come here and just get in our way once more.
Sure I do have the temple back at home to revive them, but we would still be down people as travel points can only be stationary and can't be put on ships, that and they can only be activated in safe areas where the chance of a beast attack is negligible, which currently we can't set up now.
So we headed back to set up camp, but far in the distance, a group of large women varying from 20-30 meters tall, were watching us in the distance.
One of them scowled, "Monsters have come to our island sisters, looks like they are coming for us." She said as she put away her scope and look at the rest.
"They think we easy prey?" Another one asked as she lugged her huge club over her shoulder.
"They took out beasts easily, they look like they come for our treasure." She says back to them.
"Chieftess wont be happy." Another said as they all looked around muttering what they should do.
"We let them come to us or we attack first?" One suggested.
"Chieftess has final say, but best we attack at night, but let's go back first, there still time before night." The leader of the group said before she and the rest began to traverse their way back to their tribe.
Though unlike the thought we had of a barbarian like tribal village, the tribes home was like an ancient city made out of finely cut limestone with many reliefs of serpent like beasts and statues scattered across the tribe.
Soon enough the scouting group returned and headed for the temple.
At the top of the temple the tribes chieftess was preforming an animal sacrifice to the gods in hopes of good fortune and protection.
But while she was completing the sacrifice, the animals began to decay rapidly and turn to bone, an Ill omen that shocked the chieftess at the sight.
This left her in a state of confusion and concern before she turned back to see the scouting group standing and waiting for her paiently.
"Lady Quetzalcoatl, we have news to share." they said as they took a knee before her in respect and reverence.
"You have come bringing news, but the signs say what you bring is not good news at all." She said as she walked over and took her throne as she looked down at them.
"An small army of monsters has landed on the southern shores and we're making their way towards us, but they were halted by the beasts that call that area home, but they easily overwhelmed the beasts, if night fall didn't arrive they would have still been on their way." The scout leader reported.
"I see…. So the signs say of an imminent battle…. One where we are to lose if we blindly jump into the fray it seems." She says to them which makes them all look at her in astonishment.
"Us? Lose? But their are more of us than them Chieftess, how could they possibly win?" The leader disagreed with the notion of loss as there was only 300 of them while their was 500+ Giant Amazonians.
"Did you see a small green one leading the Charge? Wreathed in heavy armor with flowing black hair and black ear paint over his eyes?" She said as she leaned back in her chair before looking up and staring at the stars.
"Y-yes, their was one who fit that description." She said remembering the small green goblin warrior who easily cut through swaths of Beasts with ease along with the strongest their.
"Haaaa…. He is the Star Child of Godddess Terra, one of her most favored children of them all, and not only that but the visions say that he is chosen as a True King of his Kind, the favor of a high goddess at his side and the power of a True King with a retinue of fierce warriors, if we battle, our gods won't favor us." She said before looking at them with shock on all their faces.
"Prepare the Blood Arena! It's the only way we have a chance of protecting our tribe and enforcing our demands!" She said as she stood up and gave her commands to her people.
This shocked them even more as the Blood Arena was only used to settle blood debts and disputes between the tribes, if it's being used now, whoever wins gets to decide the fate of the other.
A 4 v 4 battle is about to commence!
