Chapitre 46: Chapter 46: The Mark

Xavier blinked his eyes twice before he regained his consciousness. He reached out to his waistband to pull out a gun but I had already taken it off of him. It was only then that he tried to be aware of his surroundings.

"Where am I?" He asked. By the look on his face, his head seemed to hurt a lot.

"Nowhere unsafe," I said as I walked over to him. He was in an almost dark room. Even though he wasn't tied or restrained, he didn't get up or tried to get out.

"What are you doing, Scarlet?"

"I needed time to… think."

"What does it have to do with you drugging me?"

"Well, that part might not have been so important but I needed to talk to you."

"I guess when I agreed to meet up with you," He finally got up, "I was, indeed, going to talk to you."

"But not about this. You wouldn't talk about this."

"About what?" He sounded confused.

I turned on the light.
