Chapitre 38: It Has Begun!
ROAR
A loud roar reverberated throughout the stronghold. The shockwave generated by the mere roar, which could destroy the pride of the most courageous ones, shattered the nearby glass.
Clang Clang Clang
The chains binding the large black-colored wolf began to break off as the beast, captured alive, struggled with all its might.
The giant eye of the one-eyed wolf, which had been closed for good, suddenly came alive, reddening as the beast began to lose its sanity.
"What the fuck are you all watching for? Hurry up! Call a psychic ma-AA!"
One of the veterans, shocked to see such an outrage from the beast their team had caught alive, shouted as he watched the beast trying to break free. But before he could even complete his sentence, the berserk wolf broke its binds and lunged at the man.
The unexpected burst from the wolf caught the man off guard, and his upper body became the object of the wolf's feast.
"Lightning Strike!: Wrath Shock!"
Following the wolf's attack, another loud voice captured the attention of the stunned onlookers as blinding flashes of lightning suddenly struck the berserk wolf.
Multiple arcs of lightning fiercely attacked the beast.
Boom!
A loud bang echoed through the area as, under the shocked eyes of the people, the beast was blasted meters away. Charred and burnt marks became visible as the beast lay whimpering in pain, with purple-colored lightning bolts dancing on its body, paralyzing it.
"What are you all looking at?! Kill it! It has gone berserk!"
Everyone turned to the source of the voice, only to find Damon standing in front of a black, luxurious car surrounded by purple lightning.
Hearing Damon's command, one of the men standing near Damon, wearing a black suit like a bodyguard, suddenly shot up and conjured a small fireball in his hand, throwing a third-level fire spell towards the beast, who was already near death, killing it instantly.
The beast in front of Damon died a horrible death, but before he could take a sigh of relief, multiple roars of beasts suddenly echoed throughout the stronghold.
"W-w-what is happening!? First this one-eyed wolf, and now the other captured beasts are all going berserk!"
One of the young military officers nearby suddenly exclaimed as he received multiple alerts. The Ape Rats, Wolf beasts, and all the beasts that the hunters had captured to sell were going berserk.
"What's happening here!?"
The commotion was so loud that Zhang Kong, who was inside the headquarters, walked out of the building, looking puzzled as he looked at the dead body of the wolf before the military men in the vicinity reported to him.
The report by the officer and other hunters made Zhang Kong's face go dark. A frustrated expression suddenly appeared on his face as Zhang Kong looked straight into Damon's eyes, both thinking the same thing.
'It has begun!'

'Fuck, what should I do now?'
Damon, sitting inside his car, was losing his cool. Earlier, Damon had planned to give the information a day prior to the attack. This was all to be on the safer side, avoiding any attention and leaving as few records about him as possible, but sigh, he hadn't anticipated the shift in the attack's date.
'Sigh... note to self: never play the hero ever again.' Damon had initially wanted to leave the city as fast as possible, but he at least wanted to minimize the damage with the best of his ability, which resulted in him now being stuck in this disaster.
'At least... there won't be any dangers in here.' Currently, Damon was inside his car, following the military vehicles that guarded him and other cars and vehicles as they made their way to the safe zone.
The safety area was established through a collaboration between the Magic Association and the Hunter's Union. There were magicians and shelters for protection there.
After Zhang Kong heard the report, he immediately ordered a blood alert. The military officials, already deployed under the guise of a drill, were quickly alerted to the fact that this was no drill and immediately carried out proper evacuation procedures.
The stronghold, near the forest, was a danger zone surrounded by beasts that could attack at any time, so Zhang Kong and the others decided to head for the safe zone, where the safety of citizens was assured and all necessary facilities to counter the calamity were available.
'Now... what?' Surrounded by the military and others, Damon was safe. The military could handle the monsters, and in a day or two, this would all be over, and Damon could finally leave Bo City for good.
As they approached the safe zone, Damon couldn't help but look around. Dozens of bodies were being piled up near the streets—old, adults, kids... no one was spared. The giant beasts feasted on the dead bodies of the people.
A colossal creature lay on Bo City's highest point. You could see the dome of Silver Commerce Tower from any location in Bo City, meaning everyone in Bo City was able to witness this ferocious and colossal dark creature!
The structures that once were tall buildings were now reduced to rubble; the bustling city full of life had become a graveyard of the dead.
Damon forcefully closed his eyes and turned his gaze away when he saw the scene of large rat-type monsters feasting on the body of a girl about four years old. Her head was split open as the rats feasted on her insides, her black eyes devoid of life staring straight at Damon.
The gory sight was just too much for Damon to handle... his eyes shot open as his stomach churned.
'Fuck!'
Even with his eyes closed, all he could think of was the girl's face as she looked at him... the image, unmistakable, would haunt Damon forever in his nightmares.
Damon's fist clenched unconsciously as his nails dug deeper into his skin.
"Are you alright, sir?"
Xiao Yan, the bodyguard who finished the wolf with a fire spell, suddenly spoke up as he looked at Damon from the front.
Damon didn't say anything and just nodded his head while grabbing a bottle of water, drinking a large amount in one go before resting his head back.
He opened his eyes slightly and watched the holographic screen in front of him, which only he could see. The map detailing all of Bo City floated in front of his eyes.
As his position approached the stronghold, he noticed a sudden movement of one of the pins marked blood-red, moving away from the route with secrecy.

Well honestly I didn't missed you all..
First of all sorry for late update.. sigh I am a lazy guy and you know it's just too much refreshing, any way I am back with a bad news.
I am dropping this novel? No I am not.
You can say I am just getting tired of writing a Fanfic and my update stability would be a mess so if you wanna follow you can follow still.
Anyways here is the true bad news, I would try writing an original novel.
Yeah I always wanted to write an original novel and hence here am I, yeah yeah curse me all you want, I know I am being annoying and bitch to start a novel before completing this world but I am gonna still do this.
It's just getting boring for me and I want to write something original for myself so Yeah I would try it anyway
