Anesu Chuma (POV)
“Slurp, slurp, slurp,” the room was filled with the sound of eating.
It was simply too quiet that it was making me have that lingering fear that something was about to go down.
Even the food that I was eating didn’t taste that delicious at all. I felt as if I was going to have indigestion and it was all because of one person, my ex-wife.
I raised my head and looked at her. She was sitting at the table elegantly dressed in one of her favorite red dresses as she ate gracefully at the table.
Her eating posture or table manners weren’t the problem. The main problem was her being silent when I knew that she loved talking a lot.
And it’s been like that for two days. I just couldn’t help but wonder what she was really thinking, and it was making me anxious.
Did she find out about my marriage with Mishek? Why was she giving me the silent treatment?
