Alyssum glared at her best friend, who was grinning towards Camaro. Then, she threw a paper to her which stunned Brenda.
"What? Did I say something wrong?" Brenda asked.
"You're scaring the new girl, Brenda! Are you crazy!?" Alyssum shouted.
"Thank you for calling me crazy, Alyssum. You know, when you call me crazy, it's a compliment and it makes me crazier!" She explained.
"What?! Sometimes, I'm asking myself, ``Why are you my best friend?"
"Because! I'm the most beautiful woman you've ever met! Duh!" Her best friend praised herself while flipping her hair.
Camaro, on the other hand, laughing at those best friends silliness. They glanced at her and both smiled at the new girl. She was bitten on her lips, striving to stop her laugh when the two girls focused on her attention.
"So, new girl… Why is my cousin bullying you?" Brenda asked.
"I-I'm not a new girl." Camaro said.
Alyssum widened her eyes when hearing her uttered words. She thought she was a new girl since she didn't notice her before. Is she that invisible? Or she was an outcast?
"You aren't?" Alyssum implored with an obvious shock and also embarrassment to her voice.
Camaro giggled at her and responded with a nod. Then, she grabbed her bag on the ground, opened it and searched for something. Alyssum gazed at her best friend, who was focused on what Camaro was doing.
They both glanced at each other and Brenda shrugged as if she knew what Alyssum was talking about. She sighed and fixed her seat while waiting for Camaro's response.
"Bren, why don't you get us some food? I'll be here with her." Alyssum said, breaking the silence.
Then, she winked at Brenda as she understood. Silently, she stood and walked away, leaving those two girls. Alyssum smiled at the girl beside her and asked,
"Why Miranda bullied you? I mean, you aren't our classmates."
Camaro sighed, scratched her hair and looked away, striving to avoid the query. But now, she was interrogating this girl beside her. She glanced at Alyssum, who was waiting for her response.
"I don't know, is it because I'm an outcast? Although I'm in a higher grade. Or should I say, freshman high school."
"Wait, high school? So you're classmates with Christian… Christian Park?" She asked.
She smiled and responded with a nod. Alyssum could see a twinkle through her eyes when she opened about Christian. She perceived that Camaro likes him and it would be a great sign for her.
"Do you have a crush on Christian?"
Cameron's eyes widened with her cheeks formed into a blush. Then, she bit her is and looked away, clearing her throat. Alyssum giggled at her actions.
'I knew it.' She thought to herself.
"Don't be shy. It's a secret between us."
She looked at Alyssum and grabbed her hands, saying, "please, don't tell it to anyone or else Miranda will attack me again."
"Attack you again? For what reason?"
"Her friend likes Christian and when they saw me, talking with him… Sometimes, he saved me when I tripped." She explained.
Alyssum furrowed her brow when hearing it from her. She was taunting a Camaro just because her friend likes Christian. What an immature person she is.
'Miranda really gets on my nerves. She picked up a weak girl to taunt her and the reason is her friend likes Christian.' She thought to herself.
"Unbelievable. Miranda was a pain in my ass to be honest. She thinks all her friends are pretty and one touch of a man, it will become theirs. It's not a thing to just own it." She uttered while crossing her arms, leaning her back at the backrest of the chair.
"It's their nature, Alyssum. They are desirous when they don't get what they want or what they like. Knowing that they have everything."
She rolled her eyes in disgrace. Alyssum felt jealous when someone tried to get Chance's attention. However, she wasn't that hideous to pick a fight just because of that silly jealousy.
It's not Alyssum's thing.
"They are unbelievable!" She exclaimed while leaning her right cheek to her inner palm as she rested her elbow on the table.
"It's okay… Don't just get in trouble most of the time. We are here to study, to learn and to make friends and not pick a fight with someone else."
"You sound like my mother, Camaro."
She just giggled and shook her head in disbelief. Then, she grabbed her lunch inside her bag and passed the chocolate to Alyssum. Her head cocked on the side, confused when Camaro gave her chocolate.
"What is this for?"
"It's a gift because you saved me from Miranda and her minions. Just take it, it's my favorite chocolate."
"Your favorite chocolate? I should try this out." She said excitedly.
She opened the chocolate wrap and bit into it. She hummed while nodding in satisfaction when tasting the sweet milk chocolate that burst through her mouth.
"It's delicious, where is this coming from?"
"It's original."
"Original?"
"Yes. That chocolate was made by my mother. She sold it to the market and it went well." She clarified.
After a few minutes, Brenda strolled to her friend's direction with lots of food and placed it on the table. Alyssum laughed at her, shocked when there was a lot of food in front of them. She gazed at Camaro, who was stunned too.
"Why did you buy lots of food?" Alyssum asked whilst pointing at it.
"Well, I heard that we don't have class after lunch but we need to grab our assignment before going home." Brenda explained as she grabbed the fries.
"Eat some, Camaro. Don't be shy, it's my treat, don't worry." Brenda added.
Camaro placed her lunch box aside and grabbed some burger at the tray. But when Alyssum saw her lunch box, she snatched it which stunned her.
"Don't open it! It's embarrassing!" She cried out, striving to snatched her lunch box out of Alyssum's hand.
However, she lightly pushed her away and Brenda helped her open it. Camaro just heaved a deep sigh and left them alone.
"Is this your food?" Brenda asked.
"Yes. I told you, don't open it." Camaro mumbled while looking down.
"Don't be so embarrassed! It looks delicious. Why don't we eat all of this food before getting into the class?" Alyssum uttered with a smile on her face. They just agreed and started eating their food.
