She couldn’t understand him, last night he looked as if he was ready to kill her and his shattering kiss said so as well. He should have been nursing his bruised ego at home after the embarrassment she put him through but instead he wanted to see her and even take her to the theater, she couldn’t wrap her head around the situation but she knew he was playing a dangerous game and she had to be careful and beware of his motives.

“There might be a possibility that the kiss you two shared made his desire to marry you grow…or do you think the duke is that easy to seduce?”

Madison could only scoff at that reasoning as she looked at Glenda as if she was dumb. he had pure rage in his eyes after all the horrible stories she had come up with last night, and she strongly believed that the only desire that grew was the intent of killing her, “well my dear Glenda how do I explain to you what a jest of him I made, I doubt just one kiss will change all of that”
