Augustus stood up and formed a portal.
"Alfred knows about the Murlocs," Augustus told Godfrey.
"So take him with you," Augustus said. In the past, he had discussed his plans of conquest over Fish-Man Island with Alfred and had revealed a lot of details to him, so within the kingdom, Alfred knew the most.
But Augustus was worried about the radiation that would affect Alfred.
Suddenly, he remembered Stephen. Although Stephen had not fully recovered, that didn't mean Augustus couldn't use Mystic powers.
"Stephen, is there any protection spell that can be cast on Alfred to protect him and Godfrey from radiation?" Augustus asked.
"There is a protection spell that isolates the environment you are in when cast and prevents the outside environment from affecting you," Stephen said. "But it has a time limit for how long it stays up, and it can't be damaged by outside force or it will break."
"That will have to do," Augustus said, and Stephen began demonstrating the spell on a very small scale with weak power.
Augustus quickly understood the spell and cast it on Godfrey.
At this time, Alfred walked into the throne room.
"You summoned me, your Majesty?" Alfred asked.
"Yes, Alfred, you will go with Godfrey to Fish-Man Island to attempt to move them from underwater. The radiation will soon affect them, or it may already be affecting them, so time is of the essence."
"Yes, your Majesty," Alfred nodded, accepting the task. Augustus cast the protection spell around Alfred as well.
"How long do you think it will last?" Augustus asked, referring to the protection spell.
"Your Majesty, you put in a lot of Mystic power, so about 40 minutes for each."
Both Godfrey and Alfred quickly stepped through the portal and appeared in the throne room of Neptune, who was currently receiving a report.
But when the portal appeared, the entire throne room fell silent.
Neptune was looking at the two intruders with anger at this moment.
The guards that filled the tall throne room had their spears primed and ready to attack.
"Who are you?!" Neptune's voice rang out.
Alfred stepped forward respectfully, his demeanor calm and composed despite the hostile atmosphere. He spoke in a measured tone, hoping to de-escalate the tension and convey the gravity of the situation.
"Your Majesty, King Neptune, I understand your anger at our sudden intrusion, but I assure you, we come bearing a message of great importance—for the survival of your kingdom.
The surface world has been devastated, and as we speak, radiation from a terrible weapon threatens to seep into your waters."
Alfred made eye contact with the Fish-Man King, showing sincerity.
"We know that Fish-Man Island is deeply tied to the ocean, and moving it is no small request. But, your Majesty, this is no longer a matter of sovereignty or pride—it is a matter of survival.
The radiation spreading from the surface will soon reach your kingdom, endangering your people, your children, and Princess Shirahoshi herself."
He paused to let the weight of his words sink in before continuing.
"You have five seconds to tell me what the hell you are talking about," Neptune said, seemingly about to burst with anger, so Alfred quickly began explaining.
Alfred himself wasn't sure about the context surrounding the nuke that was dropped. Maybe it was Augustus who had finally put his plans into motion.
But Alfred didn't mention any of that.
"My liege, Augustus, offers you and your people sanctuary—safe passage to a new home, free from the poison of the surface. Under his rule, you will find protection and prosperity. He does not wish to subjugate Fish-Man Island but to offer it a place where it can thrive under new leadership, as part of a united and powerful kingdom."
Alfred looked around at the guards, then back at Neptune.
"You may not trust us now, but the reality of the danger will soon become undeniable. King Augustus is prepared to offer the resources and means necessary to protect your people from the surface's contamination. The question now is: will you allow your kingdom to wither under the radiation, or will you seize the opportunity to preserve it for future generations?"
Neptune was silent at this time. He could feel a very slight pricking sensation all over his body and knew in his heart that it would worsen.
"How are you going to move so many people?" Neptune asked.
"Exactly the way we came here—through a portal," Alfred said.
At this moment, Augustus had mobilized Tony and Vegapunk, who were currently searching for an island large enough to accommodate the Fish-Man tribe. It needed to be abandoned yet have decent living conditions.
The search was an arduous one, but finally, they stumbled upon an archipelago-type island on the far reaches of Paradise.
Very quickly, Augustus formed a portal to inspect this island.
The weather surrounding the island was brutal and constantly changing, with plenty of Sea Kings in the area.
The conditions on the island were the very opposite.
There were many thick and deep streams of water flowing between each small landmass, huge trees in some places, and vast empty plains stretching for miles in others.
Augustus created a portal to Fish-Man Island, Neptune's throne room, and stepped through—not before casting the protection spell on himself. When he went through, he saw Godfrey, Alfred, Neptune, Shirahoshi, and Neptune's sons.
"We have been waiting, your Majesty," Godfrey said, kneeling at Augustus' arrival.
