Chapitre 91: 89. Shiki: You Animals, Did You Eat My Iq Potion?

"Is it another Ancient Weapon?"

"Poseidon, the Ancient Weapon with a godly name?"

Robin frowned as she read the inscriptions on the main history text, a trace of disappointment crossing her face.

Clearly, she wasn't particularly intrigued by any of this.

Back in the underground palace of Arabasta-

Robin came across the historical text detailing the whereabouts of the Ancient Weapon, Pluton.

It was also around that time that Robin started receiving news from Al about the historical text.

To unveil the lost hundred-year history, all the historical texts needed to be pieced together in a series.

This led Robin to consider joining the crew.

Later on, Robin also intended to inquire with Al about the whereabouts of another Ancient Weapon, Uranus.

However, as she was about to speak, Robin hesitated for a long while.

After pondering it carefully, it seems there's no need to ask.

Considering Al's strength displayed in Arabasta...

An Ancient Weapon...

It doesn't seem to be all that useful...

After all, witnessing Al lifting the island with just one hand was truly mind-blowing!

Pluton's ability to destroy an island with a single shot sounds terrifying, indeed!

But when you compare it to the feats Al pulled off...

Is there even a possibility of comparison?

Not at all!

"I wonder if Captain Al would even be interested in this," Robin mused with a sigh, shaking her head helplessly.

The Ancient Weapon that the World Government and Crocodile have been chasing seems like nothing in Al's eyes.

After leaving Arabasta, Robin once brought up the topic of Pluton with Al.

However, Al seemed indifferent, responding in a very casual tone, "No need."

It's not that Al doesn't care, but rather, he knows where the blueprints for Pluton are.

When he visited the Water 7, Al even considered the idea of making Pluton just for fun.

It's just unfortunate.

Before Al could approach Franky to request the blueprints, those fanatical folks from the World Government initiated a Buster Call on them!

Despite Al and the crew escaping unscathed after a fierce battle, the chaos stirred up by the Buster Call made it challenging for Al to track down Franky amidst the crowd.

Al's plan fell through as a result.

Even if someone were to ask Al to search for the Pluton blueprints now, it's unlikely that he would pursue it.

After all, with the new ship already constructed, rebuilding Pluton would undoubtedly attract unwanted attention.

Moreover, the crew's strength has undergone monumental changes!

Just look at our powerhouse, Muscles; his combat prowess is beyond measure!

And let's not forget Merlin the Sorcerer, Tom, and Spike!

Just as Robin was about to depart, she suddenly noticed a line of text engraved next to the main historical text.

"One Piece, Gol D. Roger?"

Reading the text next to the main historical text, Robin froze, unable to regain her composure for quite some time.

Seeing Robin so absorbed, Nami couldn't help but feel a bit puzzled and asked, "Robin, what are you looking at?"

Before Robin could respond to the shock, Carina's exclamation grabbed everyone's attention.

"Everyone, look at that!" Carina exclaimed, pointing in a direction.

They all turned to follow Carina's gesture.

They spotted a small island floating in the air, slowly drifting towards them.

"Could it be that Captain Al is just fooling around, playing with an island?" Nami speculated, gazing at the island suspended in the sky.

After all the chaos with Al in Arabasta, it left a lasting impression in the hearts of several people that would never be forgotten in this lifetime!

"I'm not certain, but it seems like only Captain Al could pull something like this off."

"Let it go, Vivi. Captain Al must be behind this!" Carina's tone was resolute.

After all, it's not the first time Al has pulled off something like this!

With that realization, everyone was only momentarily surprised, not taking it too seriously, and went about attending to other matters.

For Nami and Carina, gold was their top priority!

Vivi and Robin exchanged glances, shook their heads in resignation, and stopped paying attention to the floating island.

As for whatever Al had in mind, it didn't seem particularly important to them.

Maybe it's just Al's whim, or maybe not?

"Ha choo!"

"Who's talking behind my back?" Al sneezed, muttered a few words, then resumed his journey of collecting dials.

Initially, Al had intended to interact with the residents of Skypiea. Despite being pirates, they still adhered to some basic principles of life.

However, upon seeing Al, the Skypiea residents kept their distance, and none of them dared to initiate a conversation.

Even those trouble-making white beret who had arrived earlier were now cowering behind trees with fearful expressions.

"Relax, I..."

Before Al could finish his sentence, the captain with a collar resembling a ladder stared at Al as if he had seen a ghost and shouted, "Run!"

With the captain of the white beret hats' command, all the residents scattered in every direction, leaving Al with no opportunity to speak.

After all, he's not like Luffy, who only defeated Enel after exposing his wrongdoing.

It was perhaps inevitable for things to turn out this way.

"Hey, I had hoped to connect with you as fellow ordinary people, but all I received in return was rejection."

"Then I can only apologize," Al sighed softly, shaking his head in helplessness.

Since the villagers were unwilling to interact with him, he could only resort to the second option.

Al silently retrieved a large bag from his system space, humming a tune as he strolled around the village.

Approaching each house, Al would politely knock on the door before uttering the most ruthless words in a surprisingly gentle tone.

"Looting and robbery, hand over the dials, or I'll kick the door!"

"Each household is required to surrender 10 dials. There's no restriction on the types, but no duplicates are allowed, unless you have none!"

Al's demand didn't seem excessive.

You must understand that various dials on Sky Island are crucial for the residents' survival!

They can even be considered the most basic daily essentials!

Despite Al's modest request, there were still some stubborn individuals who refused to open their doors, even making rude remarks.

In such cases, Al would follow through with his threat and kick the door open, issuing a warning.

If the individual dared to resist further, Al wouldn't hesitate to show no mercy. They could end up seriously injured or even dead!

However, such instances were rare, and most residents were quite cooperative.

Let's not label Al as cruel; after all, he's a pirate himself, and a pirate comes first.

....

Meanwhile, while Al was busy collecting dials at a Skypiea resident's home, the island suspended in the air drew closer and closer to Nami and the others.

"Report to Master Shiki, we've spotted a Sky Island ahead!" The voice came through the display screen in the control room.

The corners of Shiki's mouth lifted slightly, his tone cold as he replied, "Do I still need to give orders for something like this?"

"Follow the usual protocol: go and plunder their valuables. If anyone resists, eliminate them on the spot."

"Yes!"

Observing Shiki's return to his usual demeanor, a tall orangutan standing behind him pounded his chest excitedly.

"You smelly orangutan, get movin'..."

Before Shiki could finish his sentence, the gorilla erupted in even more intense excitement, as if he'd spotted something he adored!

His eyes even turned into hearts, nearly popping out of their sockets!

"Hey, you colorful orangutan, what are you gawking at?"

On Shiki's right side, a peculiarly shaped man in a white coat smacked the gorilla on the head harshly.

However, when he saw the screen on the display, he suddenly shouted, "Master Shiki, these guys are... the Al Pirates!"

On the screen, Nami and Carina were fixated on a golden clock, seemingly pondering how to dismantle it. Meanwhile, Robin sat alongside Vivi, engaging in a game with Spike and Karoo. Merlin had found a shady spot and was peacefully dozing off, wearing a contented expression.

As for Muscles, he's still on the hunt for Tom!

"Yoshi, what luck! In that case, let me catch them all!"

With hearty laughter, Shiki descended from the sky, landing gracefully in front of Nami and the others.

As the man suddenly appeared before them, Nami frowned, a tinge of fear in her expression, mirrored by the others' gazes.

"Who are you?" Nami inquired.

Facing her question, Shiki smiled and softly introduced himself.

"I am Golden Lion-Shiki of the Air Pirates."

As Nami processed this information, she glanced at the man with sword-like legs before her and the floating island behind him.

Was it possible that island wasn't created by Captain Al, as she had assumed?

Nami and the others were taken aback by this unexpected turn of events.

Examining Shiki closely, they couldn't help but wonder: How did he manage to suspend the island in the air?

"Could it be another Devil Fruit power?" Nami speculated.

Of course, Nami and her companions had no knowledge of Shiki's disappearance at sea for the past 20 years. In fact, when Shiki was last active, Nami, Carina, and Vivi hadn't even been born yet, or if they were, they were still just infants.

As they grew old enough to remember, Shiki had already vanished into the sea for an unknown number of years.

"Robin, have you heard of this pirate group?" Nami inquired, hoping for insight from Robin, who was a bit older.

However, Robin, having navigated life's uncertainties since childhood, had no inclination to pay attention to such matters. Simply living safely was accomplishment enough. Additionally, Aokiji discreetly shielded Robin, ensuring that unnecessary information, like Shiki's exploits, was kept at bay.

Observing Nami and the others' lack of recognition, Shiki's desolation was evident in his sigh.

"Would you care to be guests on my airship?" he proposed.

Without hesitation, Nami declined.

What a ludicrous notion! Being a mere guest meant nothing more than indulging in food and drink. Compared to their adventures with the Golden Bell, it was nothing but mundane repetition.

In that moment, Nami couldn't shake the feeling that the old man named Shiki was here to deceive them regarding their beloved Golden Bell.

"Such a shame, I have no idea what to do with all the gold, silver, and jewels aboard my ship," Shiki feigned a sigh, evidently sensing Nami and Carina's vulnerability.

Meanwhile, without much concern, Shiki casually disposed of Spike's bone, flicking it away.

Observing this exchange, Vivi and Robin exchanged glances before opting not to follow suit. Instead, they set off to locate Muscles and Tom.

Vivi and the others weren't overly concerned about Nami and Carina's strength, let alone Spike's.

After Vivi and Robin departed, Shiki squatted down and placed his right hand on the ground.

In the next moment, much to the horror of Nami and Carina, the ground beneath their feet lifted them into the air!

"What kind of ability is this?" Carina couldn't help but ask.

Shiki glanced at Spike, who was engrossed in gnawing on a bone, and chuckled softly. "I possess the Float-Float Fruit ability. Anything I touch, I can make it float."

Before Carina could inquire further if this included people, Shiki continued:

"Of course, I can't make living animals or people float," Shiki clarified.

Upon hearing this, Carina let out a light snort, speaking in a slightly disgruntled tone. "Well, I still wanted to experience the sensation of flying."

Nami paused for a moment before addressing Carina in a serious tone. "If you want to fly, you can ask Spike or Muscles to carry you up to the sky."

Spike nodded enthusiastically, chiming in, "I can even toss you like a football!"

Speaking of which, Nami, always resourceful, crafted another knife and requested Carina to erect a barrier around her body.

This way, not only would she remain unharmed, but she could also experience the exhilarating sensation of continuous flight. It was simply too cool!

"..."

"I may not be human, but you two are real dogs!"

"I was originally a dog..."

Carina was utterly speechless, opting not to engage with them any further, lest they provoke her further!

Shiki continued to scrutinize Spike.

While it wasn't unheard of for animals enhanced by IQS potion to articulate human-like words, those that could communicate with such proficiency were a novelty to him.

As Carina and Nami bickered, Shiki's sneer persisted as everyone slowly descended onto the airship.

"Welcome to my domain, Shihahaha~" Shiki greeted with a sinister chuckle.

As Shiki's sneer lingered, several imposing figures closed in around Carina and Nami.

"W-What's happening?!!" Nami exclaimed, attempting to activate her abilities.
