Chapitre 78: Sengoku's Surprise, Five Elders' Shock
In the next moment, the surging waves froze. Under the stunned gazes of the crowd, the towering waves collapsed like sandcastles, crumbling back into the calm seawater.
"We're... saved?" one person murmured in disbelief.
"What was that just now?" another asked, eyes wide with wonder.
"Did I see it wrong? The giant wave was shattered..."
"It was a god. A god saved us," someone declared, awe in their voice.
"Yes, with such power, it could only be a god," agreed another, nodding fervently.
After a brief moment of shock, the crowd knelt down, excitedly bowing toward the direction where the invisible shockwave had emerged.
Several hundred meters away, Lakeman gently shook his head, lowering his hand. It was, of course, him who had acted. Without having eaten a Devil Fruit, his admiral-level strength was largely due to his extraordinary Haki. His Haki strength was incredibly powerful, strong enough to directly counter admiral-level fruit awakenings.
"Releasing Armament Haki over five hundred meters to shatter thirty-meter-high waves was a piece of cake for me," Saint Lakeman mused, feeling the depth of his own strength. "If I go all out, I should be able to level a village or crack a small island."
As he contemplated his power, new exclamations erupted from the dock.
"Look, blood!" a voice cried out.
"So much blood is coming up from the sea," another exclaimed, pointing toward the ocean.
"There's something below!" someone shouted, squinting into the distance.
"Is that... a Sea King?" a young man asked, voice filled with wonder.
"So many Sea King corpses are surfacing," an older woman observed, covering her mouth in shock.
Countless people stared out at the sea in amazement. They saw a vast amount of blood rising to the surface, filling the air with a fishy smell, while the massive bodies of several Sea Kings floated up.
"This is a gift from the gods," someone exclaimed, breaking the silence.
The crowd instantly perked up, faces lighting up with joy. If they could harvest even a small amount of Sea King meat, it would be worth a fortune.
"Heh," Lakeman chuckled, withdrawing his senses, no longer paying attention to the people at the dock. Those Sea Kings were killed by his Armament Haki. The waves had been caused by his overwhelming presence, which had alarmed the Sea Kings below, sending them fleeing in panic.
Their gigantic bodies had stirred the sea, creating the towering waves. Lakeman had dispersed the waves and killed the creatures simultaneously, offering compensation and consolation for the ordinary people at the dock who had been startled.
"..."
Meanwhile, the guards and servants who had fainted slowly regained consciousness. They scrambled to their feet, fearfully kneeling on one knee.
"A thousand apologies, Saint Lakeman," they chorused, bowing their heads.
"It's fine, it's not your fault," Saint Lakeman replied, waving his hand dismissively. He turned casually to head elsewhere. It wasn't their fault. His overwhelming presence had intimidated them, but now, he could control it.
Upon reaching admiral-level strength, Saint Lakeman felt a strange sense of completeness. He could fully retract his aura and pressure, not affecting ordinary people. Just like Rayleigh in the Sabaody Archipelago, who was outrageously strong, yet appeared as a regular man to ordinary people.
"Go and tell Doffy that the giant waves and Sea Kings were my doing, so there's no need to worry," Saint Lakeman instructed casually.
The guards behind him were taken aback, glancing toward the dock. A few seconds later, a few guards, wearing expressions of surprise, hurriedly left to relay the message. The remaining people continued to wander leisurely with Saint Lakeman.
"I've been on Spider Miles Island for so long, and I haven't had a proper stroll," Saint Lakeman remarked, walking slowly, enjoying the local scenery.
Over ten minutes later, at the dock, Doflamingo appeared. He looked at the thirteen Sea King corpses, as big as hills, dragged to the shore, still bleeding, and couldn't help but reveal a look of shock.
Beside him, the members of the Donquixote Family had already gathered all the information. Their faces were full of shock as they pieced together an astonishing conclusion.
"Saint Lakeman intimidated the Sea Kings underwater, forcing them to flee in terror, causing the nearshore waves," one of them explained, voice trembling.
"Then he shattered the waves from five hundred meters away and killed all the Sea Kings underwater," another added, still in disbelief.
"Young Master..." one of the members murmured, looking at Doflamingo with wide eyes.
The members of the Donquixote Family stared at Doflamingo in horror. Such power was completely beyond their imagination. Even the Navy's warships needed multiple bombardments to kill a single Sea King.
But Saint Lakeman had done it in one strike. And he had killed them underwater, where the seawater would weaken the power of an attack. Despite this, Saint Lakeman's attack was powerful enough to wipe out all the Sea Kings.
"This is something only a Marine Admiral could do..." Doflamingo stared at the corpses and, after a long silence, said, "He has indeed reached such a level."
Hiss…
Upon hearing Doflamingo's words, the family members gasped.
An admiral?
There are only three admiral-level powerhouses in the marines now, each one a monster among monsters. Zephyr is retired, Garp is in the post of the vice admiral, and Sengoku is the marshal. "Lieutenant General..."
A subordinate swallowed hard, trembling as he spoke. "We've found out the situation; Saint Lakeman intimidated the Sea Kings from five hundred meters away, then struck from afar, wiping out the Sea Kings along with the waves they created."
"This kind of power is only heard of from the Admirals at the Headquarters."
"This Saint Lakeman probably already possesses top-tier Marine strength."
The subordinate's words left the air silent.

"Hmm, I understand," Sengoku said, putting down the receiver and looking at the two Den Den Mushi in front of him, falling into a long silence. In front of him, Tsuru, sitting on the sofa, also looked shocked.
"How could there be such a terrifying person?" Tsuru said incredulously, "Could this be the secret behind the World Government's eight hundred years of rule?"
"The bloodline of the twenty kings has the potential to become the strongest?" she speculated, a hint of unease in her voice.

"Saint Nusjuro, what's wrong?" one of them asked, concern in his voice.
"What did Sengoku say?" another queried, leaning forward with interest.
"Did something major happened?" a third inquired, brows furrowed.
"Is there a problem in the New World again?" the last one wondered aloud.
Saint Nusjuro shook his head, looking at his four companions with a shocked expression, saying, "It's about the younger generation of my family, Lakeman."
"What happened to him?" they all asked in unison, their curiosity piqued.
"Sengoku said he shattered thirty-meter-high waves with Armament Haki from five hundred meters away and instantly killed thirteen Sea Kings at least eight hundred meters underwater," Saint Nusjuro explained, his face filled with astonishment.
Instantly, the conference room fell into silence.
