January, 1516
It was late in the winter morning when a unique-looking pirate ship docked at the small port of Foosha Village causing the sailors and fisherman to take a second glance in surprise. Foosha Village (aka "Windmill Village") is a little port village that is located on Dawn Island. This sparse village rarely has outside visitors as most of the merchant vessels docked at the main port of Goa Kingdom. Though still officially part of the Goa kingdom, the country's authorities are rarely, if not ever seen there, thus rendering the people who live outside the walls forgotten by the local government. Occasionally this 'unremarkable' village has a few prominent visitors from the outside world other than the village fishermen and today was such a day.
"Let's go, Sabo!!" Victor said as he looked towards the distance with anticipation.
"Time to meet the JoyBoy." His murmur was only heard by the raven-haired beauty who was intimately holding his hands.
"Yes, father!! They should be somewhere in the mountains," Sabo replied nervously with a nod as he led the couple through the familiar streets of his 'home' which has not changed much in the last four years. He lost his memories when he was only 10 years old and finally, he has returned to the island where it all began.
Victor and Robin followed Sabo as they observed the surroundings with curiosity. It resembles a typical rural community, with rustic wooden houses, docks, and a few windmills located to the east of the Goa Kingdom capital. A prominent feature of this sleepy village is Mt. Colubo in the background filled with dense forest and wildlife occupied by the mountain bandits.
"Victor!! I need to tell you something when this is over," Robin said suddenly as she clenched his shirt nervously.
"Ummm sure...no problem dear," The latter replied absentmindedly causing the Robin to sigh inwardly. She had been trying to break the 'news' to Victor but seeing his excitement to sail the world she had been postponing this conversation for the 'right moment'.
Victor activated his Observation Haki which spread through the whole village and suddenly he could 'see' all the activity in his range. Suddenly he noticed something causing him to raise an eyebrow.
"You two go ahead!! I'll meet you soon," Victor said as he suddenly teleported away.
"Hmmph! Let's go, Sabo!!" Robin said with a pout.
"umm... okay."

Meanwhile on the other side of the village:
Two young kids sprinted through the wilderness with joyful laughter as they both sprinted toward the seashores. Each dawn brought with it a new adventure for these little kids who enjoyed true freedom as outlaws since infancy. Garp had left them in Dadan's care so they had to grow up faster than other kids to ensure their survival. Two brothers spent their days hunting wild animals for food, occasionally fighting off any bandits who tried to harm the village, sparring, and training with each other to one day grow strong enough to pursue their dreams.
"Here I come Aceeeee!!" The kid wearing a simple straw hat with a red vest, light blue denim shorts cuffed just above his knees, and tan sandals shouted joyfully. He had an iconic scar under his eyes and he was wearing a simple straw hat.
[Gomu Gomu nooo slingshott] Little Luffy, currently 10 years old shouted childishly as he stretched out his hand toward the branches of two tall trees. The little kid's arms stretched out like rubbery noodles and grabbed the branch launching him into the air.
"Hehehehehe!!!! Acee, take my attack!!" Luffy who was trying this new move for the first time while laughing joyfully in his childish voice as he swang toward Ace like a cute monkey.
"Nani??" The latter was stunned as he saw Luffy fly toward him like a cannonball. "Idiot!! You'll crash!!!" He tried to warn but it was too late, Ace crouched as he dodged Luffy's incoming attack.
*Bangggg*
There was a loud crash as the little kid couldn't control the direction of the flight mid-air and split a tree in two with his momentum. Luffy spun in the air for a moment before he came crashing to the grass.
"Ouch ouch!!" Little Luffy felt dizzy as he groaned while grabbing his straw hat to protect it from harm.
"Hahahaha!!! What was hell was that? You call this a fight?" A taller and muscular young man with curly black hair said playfully, none other than Portgas D. Ace currently 14 years old. He couldn't help but burst out laughing when he saw Luffy's funny expression. Although they were not blood-related, Ace looked remarkably like his little brother, Luffy.
"No matter how much force you put into it, there's no point if you can't hit me. I told you before that rubber isn't suitable for battle. " He was not worried since Luffy's rubber powers gave him insane durability against blunt injuries.
"Shutt up!! Don't say that!!" Little Luffy said angrily with fiery eyes as he butted heads with his older brother.
"What?!! Are you trying to say that I'm wrong?! You are just an anchor who's immune to bullets!!"
"Don't make fun of Gum Gum Fruit!! Someday I'll make you cry when I defeat you!!" Luffy who had 'Anchor' written on his shirt replied angrily as he butted heads with Ace.
"Bakkaa! I will never lose to you" Ace said smugly.
*Sigh* "Sabo was such a kind older brother" Luffy sighed sadly as he slumped a little.
"What's that supposed to mean?! Would you rather have 'me' die instead??" Ace shouted back angrily.
"I never said that!!!" Luffy shouted back.
"But that's what you basically meant!!" *Bang* Ace said as he punched Luffy in the head causing the latter to yell in pain.
"Oww!! Oww!!!"
"Sabo never punched me like that!!"
"What was that???" Ace said angrily.
"What's with you? Be a little nicer will you??
"No wayy!!"
The two brother bickered but this was their way of filling the void in their hearts. They continued to play and spar with occasional brotherly banter when suddenly Luffy's ears perked up with wide eyes.
"Sabooo!! I heard Sabo's voice!!"
"Tsk!! Don't try to change the topic Luffy and accept your defeat like a real man. Why are you making excuses?" Ace said with a sigh as he patted Luffy's head dismissively. It has been three years since they saw Sabo's boat being blown up by the Celestial Dragon. How can he be still alive? His old tricks and excuses won't work on him.
"I am not lying," Luffy said with a joyful smile before he dashed off into the forest...
"Luffy, wait!!" Ace sighed helplessly as he followed behind little Luffy.
Unbeknownst to them a shadowy figure stood atop a branch of a tall tree in the dense forest as he saw the scene with curiosity.
"Voice of all things or observation? The strings of fate are getting more tangled," He murmured to himself thoughtfully.
"What are you doing here brat?" A giant old man wearing a dark double-breasted suit with a white shirt and a red tie glared at Victor. Garp's hair and goatee were still black, with sideburns beginning to whiten, and he was wearing a white cape with JUSTICE written in bold kanji.
"Old man! Do I need anyone's permission to travel the world?" Said the white-haired muscular man with a distinguished air around him even though he was wearing a Hawaiian shirt and sandals while carrying a sheathed katana in his hand.
"You think you can blackmail me, Moriarty brat! If you want another beating then I won't hold back this time." Garp said angrily as he released a whisp of Conqueror's Haki which Victor had no problem resisting.
"Let's do that tomorrow, I am planning to stay here for a few days," Victor said lazily clearly irritated by the presence of Garp.
"Before you do something stupid let me remind you I know your secret!!" Garp said with a smug smirk, feeling like he had gotten the upper hand. "Now do you want to tell the truth or do I have to get violent?"
"Don't be cocky Old man!!" Victor said as he continued to look towards a particular direction. "I am not the only one hiding a few secrets."
"Tchh!" Garp finally relented and looked at the man with curiosity. "What's your relation with the Devil Child?"
He had been sitting in Makinos Bar with Woop Slap when he returned from the Marine Base when he suddenly sensed a familiar haki. After his fight with Victor he randomly decided to take a break and spend some family time with his grandsons but lo and behold, he had to meet this pesky brat again. This time he brought a few surprises too, first the Devil Child Nico Robin and secondly the blonde boy he thought was dead after the tragedy of Grey Terminal. His third little monkey grandson, Sabo.
"She's my wife!" Victor said with a prideful smile. "Why? Are you planning to take action against us?"
"I'm on a vacation!! But don't appear before me next time in the seas," Garp said while picking his nose. "And thank you for bringing the kid home." He knew that even though Victor didn't say it out loud, the fact remains that he helped Sabo return home. He was still not sure how he was alive but how could he misjudge his own eyes?
"Marine Hero! A soldier is never off duty." Victor jumped off the branch and said calmly as he released a bloodthirsty aura. "And the next time we meet out in the world, I'll have to kill you."
"Bwhahaha!! Even though it's impossible, I'll look forward to it Mirage," Garp said as he started to laugh wildly as if he heard a funny joke. "I'll ask someone to prepare food and lodging for you two."
"Appreciate it," Victor said with a smile.
"So what's your relationship with the revolutionary army?"
"Confidential!"
"How did you find this place?"
"Confidential!"
"Tch!! Keep your secrets!!"
