Chapitre 96: Declaring war on the World government!

"Am I really seeing this right?" Dragon's brow furrowed in perplexity as he observed the scene before him.

A flicker of confusion danced across Dragon's usually serious visage. He instinctively raised his hand to rub his eyes, hoping to dispel any illusions playing tricks on him.

Yet, even after the gesture, the situation stubbornly refused to change. Whitebeard still held Akainu aloft like a farmer with a rooster, treating the Admiral not as a formidable foe, but as a mere grunt.

"Hiss..." Dragon hissed softly, realizing that this was no hallucination. With a relieved sigh, he released the tension he hadn't even realized he'd been holding.

He had pondered earlier whether Whitebeard required aid, but now it was clear that the old pirate was handling the situation with ease.

As he watched Whitebeard effortlessly fend off the combined assault of two Admirals and two Admiral Candidates, Dragon's amazement grew.

His heart clenched with astonishment at the sheer power on display. Despite knowing of Whitebeard's legendary strength, witnessing it firsthand was a humbling experience.

Yet, even as he debated whether to intervene, Dragon couldn't shake the feeling that Whitebeard didn't need any assistance. The pirate seemed more than capable of dealing with the Marines single-handedly.

"I seem to have misjudged the situation," Dragon remarked with a wry smile, acknowledging his earlier miscalculation.

His initial plan had been to offer aid to Whitebeard, hoping to gain a favor in return. However, it was now evident that the old pirate was more than capable of handling himself.

With such overwhelming strength at his disposal, it was unclear who would be indebted to whom in the next conflict.

Suddenly, Whitebeard's fist shot forward, unleashing a devastating shockwave that sent Akainu crashing into the ground with a resounding boom.

The impact created a massive crater, sending shards of stone flying and engulfing the area in a cloud of dust.

Akainu, battered and bloodied, suddenly spat out crimson droplets, his body riddled with gruesome wounds. Despite his furious glare at Whitebeard, the fire in his eyes dimmed to a dangerous flicker.

Reeling from repeated injuries, Akainu's normally resilient body struggled under the onslaught.

"Admiral Sakazuki!" Vice Admirals Momousagi and Chaton exclaimed in shock.

"I can't let you kill him," Kizaru's tone remained nonchalant, but his expression betrayed a rare seriousness.

While he had been feigning indifference and conserving energy, Kizaru understood the gravity of the situation. This battle was being broadcast live, and the Marines' authority hung in the balance. Allowing Whitebeard to dispatch Akainu in a one-sided skirmish would tarnish their reputation irreparably.

With a decisive motion, he propelled himself forward at the speed of light, aiming a golden kick towards Whitebeard.

Exerting his full power, the blow was merciless and brimming with unstoppable force.

Simultaneously, Momousagi and Chaton sprang into action, launching a coordinated assault on Whitebeard from both sides.

The clash erupted in a deafening explosion, shrouding the battlefield in a cloud of dust and smoke.

Seizing the opportunity, Kizaru swiftly retrieved the gravely injured Akainu and vanished in a flash.

"Guurarara," Whitebeard chuckled, unfazed by their retreat, his gaze fixed ahead.

His attention was drawn to a shining card materializing before him, which he deftly caught in his palm.

"Is this a new acquisition after my blow to Akainu?" he mused aloud, inspecting the card closely.

[Experience Copy: Use this card in battle to replicate a non-Devil Fruit ability of your opponent.]

"Non-Fruit ability?" Whitebeard pondered, considering its implications.

If this card could mimic abilities beyond Devil Fruit powers, its utility was vast. Perhaps akin to the swordsmanship of Admiral Candidate Momousagi, whom he had just faced.

Resolving to test it after the conflict's resolution, Whitebeard stowed the card away.

He grasped its purpose, yet found no allure in the abilities of Akainu, Kizaru, or the Admiral Candidates.

While Momousagi's swordsmanship impressed, it failed to compel him to action.

Deciding to reserve the card for encounters with true masters like Hawkeye in the future, Whitebeard tucked it away for safekeeping.

Swooosh~

The breeze whispered through the aftermath of the clash, carrying away the dissipating smoke and revealing Whitebeard's imposing figure. However, the attention of the onlookers swiftly shifted elsewhere.

Standing not far from Whitebeard was another figure, cloaked in dark green with long, pointed locks of hair, piercing eyes, and distinctive facial tattoos.

Monkey D. Dragon!

The leader of the Revolutionary Army, deemed the world's most notorious criminal by the World Government, had silently arrived, catching everyone off guard amidst the chaos of the battle against Whitebeard.

As the realization dawned on the bystanders, murmurs of shock rippled through the crowd.

"The Revolutionary Army!"

"Why is he here?"

"Is that Monkey D. Dragon?"

The Marine Vice Admirals exchanged uneasy glances, their expressions betraying their apprehension.

The Revolutionary Army, the archenemy of the World Government, had made an unexpected appearance, casting a foreboding shadow over the already tumultuous situation.

While the Marines were preoccupied with combating Whitebeard and his forces, the sudden emergence of the Revolutionary Army only added to their mounting concerns.

After all, Whitebeard posed a significant threat to Marine authority, and the addition of another formidable adversary only exacerbated the peril.

Amidst the murmurs, Whitebeard chuckled knowingly, his gaze shifting towards the enigmatic figure of Monkey D. Dragon.

"The tides of change have arrived indeed," Dragon declared, stepping boldly into the fray.

With a brief moment of contemplation, he reached a decision.

Whether Whitebeard triumphed alone or with the aid of the Revolutionary Army, Dragon recognized the significance of this moment.

Quietly arriving was one thing, but leaving unnoticed was another. And forging an alliance with Whitebeard could prove beneficial for the Revolutionaries.

After all, Whitebeard was the epitome of strength, a force to be reckoned with. Aligning with such power could only serve to bolster the Revolutionary cause.

"Looks like we've got company," Kizaru remarked with his trademark nonchalance. "The Revolutionary Army's joining the fun now? Things just got interesting."

Momousagi's expression turned grave. "This complicates matters."

"What are your intentions, Monkey D. Dragon?" Akainu's voice seethed with anger.

The unexpected arrival of the Revolutionary Army added another layer of complexity to an already volatile situation.

"I've stated before: the Revolutionary Army cannot remain idle in these changing times," Dragon proclaimed, his gaze piercing through the tension. "Therefore, I am here to formally declare war on the World Government!"
