Chapitre 52: DEITY

Third Person's P.O.V

Circa sipped her drink gently from the exquisite glass in her left hand, her gaze fixed on the dancing mortal and princess. She grinned and shook her head slightly as she straightened her unkempt hair.

"Vreihya doesn't change a bit; she truly has to be threatened with a steal before she fights for something," she laughed towards the man across the table. They are at a table in the portion of the room where the two are dancing, but they cannot be seen or felt.

"So you're not really into the mortal?" a manly voice inquired, his sorrowful eyes starring at the princess who was staring at the mortal's gaze as he felt their hearts beat.

"No! But he has my interest," the deity stated solemnly. "He is not a typical human who is easily pursued by pleasure; at first, I thought it was easy, but after uncovering everything..." she hardly stopped speaking as the man she was conversing to stared at her.

"Care to share?" he asked the deity, returning his gaze to the princess and the mortal. "Nah, Calix! We're just getting to the exciting part," the deity said to the prince of snow. They remained silent for a few seconds as they observed the two who appeared to be suppressing their emotions.

"Are you sure she'll think I'm just an illusion?" Calix asked softly as he made a snowball in his palm and threw it up to catch it again. "Yep! But if you want, you can tell her you're not," the deity remarked as she lowered her chin on top of her palm.

"It's better that way," the prince said as he continued to play with the snowball. "You passed the test, Calix," the deity said, and the snowball melted when the prince caught it. He gave Circa a light smile and a soundless "Thank You."

His ultimate aim is to let go of his feelings for the princess. "Finally, after years of trying and completing everything," the prince murmured as he stretched his shoulders. Calix's challenge is different from those of Mino and Vreihya.

Calix can leave the sanctuary to complete everything and fulfill his solitary goal. Circa laughed and asked the prince, who only shook his head, "Is it this difficult to forget the princess and you still consult me?"

"Yeah! But on top of that... I want to face my mate after I accept my fate with her because I knew very well that she will have a hard time swallowing everything and if I also feel the same, we will only have a great difficulty. I want to help her with all my might, I want to love her with every space of my heart that's why I am doing this," the prince explained, and Circa couldn't help but part her lips because of that.

She knew it beforehand, yet she can't help but be amazed by the snow prince and what he revealed to her. He is so accepting of everything that his feelings and emotions have been reset just for her mate. The deity gave a lovely smile.

"I sincerely hope it's your turn to be loved this time," the deity stated, which shocked the prince and made him smile mischievously. "Is that you, Deity of the Sanctuary? When have you been kind and nice to people you speak with?" Calix quipped.

The fairy smirked and lifted her brow. "I hope she dumps you," she cynically replied. "That's the Circa I know!" exclaimed the prince, laughing. "Hey look!" exclaimed the divinity, pointing to the princess and mortal, and Calix followed suit.

He simply smiles, as if this is something that makes him happy and content. He witnessed how the mortal and the beautiful princess kissed, and how their bodies had betrayed them as well as their hammering hearts.

He is truly pleased for her since he knows she is with the right person. This is where their paths should diverge, but not so drastically that everything for them is over. He then returned his gaze to the deity with a lingering questions on his mouth.

"What's your motive for allowing this?" Calix inquired, and the deity grinned. "Tsk! Not good," Calix said in response to his own query. He simply took a deep breath and placed his elbow on top of the table.

"Am I more gorgeous and masculine than the mortal?" Calix inquired, and the deity burst out laughing, then paused and stared at Calix while laughing again. He flexed his muscles and wiggled his brows to show off his toughness.

"Of course," Circa stated solemnly, startling Calix. After the strange answer from the deity, the surroundings were filled with awkwardness. "But him... His physical stature and posture are superb," the fairy continued. "So mine is flawed?" the prince asked plainly.

"Silly! All I was trying to say is that you have a different level and kind of perfection, so don't compare yourself to others," the deity replied sternly. "So, what rank and sort am I?" the prince inquired. Because she was irritated, the deity fiercely rubbed both of her palms on her face. "For the Goddess' sake! You're just perfect okay?" she grumbled, as the prince smirked.

"I know!" he exclaimed happily as he combed his hair with his fingers. The deity stood up abruptly, and with her gesture, a door appeared in front of the princess and the mortal, who were opposite to each other. "Stay here for a bit; I need you for the ultimate test," responded the deity, to which the snow prince instantly consented.

The deity merely stared at the princess and mortal as they chased each other. She rested against the large tree behind her. "First step completed," she remarked, following the two with her purple gaze.

"Should I toy with his past?" she said softly, but after a few seconds, she simply shook her head. "No! I want both of them to figure it out on their own," she smiled as she raised her pointer finger to reach for a purple butterfly.

"A human falling in love with a vampire princess is rather entertaining, but what I know right now can either strengthen or rip their feelings apart," she added to the butterfly, which moved its wings as if it understood the deity's comment.

"This is what I despise about my job! I am the one who is stressed out by other people's problems!" she sneers at the vulnerable insect. After a few minutes, she noticed how intimate the princess and the mortal were and couldn't help but stand straight. As a result, the lovely purple butterfly flies away.

"I guess this is the appropriate time," she said, her eyes turning a deep purple. The ground shook as a result of her deeds. The princess and the mortal parted and attempted to stand still. The ground split in two at her gesture.

Mino and Vreihya both extended their hands to reach each other, but they both dropped to the open ground. They both shouted their names, and then everything fell silent.

"It's time to deal with the devil," the deity said before disappearing into wispy vapor.
