Chapitre 176: Cozy Comfy

Lexy rested her head on Mark's shoulder and listened to Abi sing what must have been the tenth good-love-gone-bad song. The poor girl had gone from companionable to downright miserable over the course of several drinks and songs. Now, she was about ready to crash. 

"You'll have to carry her to the car and up to her bed if she finishes another drink," Lexy said to Mark.

Mark snorted. "She can sleep here. I'll lock her in and tell the staff to keep an eye on her."

"That's horrible."

"Not at all. I've slept in this very room many times after working a double shift. There's a blank and pillow stowed in storage. The bench seat is comfortable and long enough to stretch out. She'd be more comfortable here than me dropping her on her ass on the way to the parking lot."

"Um…don't drop her?"

"In theory, that is ideal, but she's a fighter when she's drunk. The second I try to pick her up, she'll try to take my head off."
