Chapitre 5: Chapter 5: Audition

"I, Yu Trevor will defeat you."

His Occlusion is reacting...well that's not surprising...an Occlude's Occlusion level is directly proportional to the emotional state of the Occlude. Intense emotions like Anger, Hatred and Fear darken an Occlusion but strengthen it while Moderate emotions like Joy and Sadness lighten it but make it weaker. We are both feeling intense emotions right now...that's why we are stronger but...I can feel his anger towards me but...

"No Emotion trumps BLOODLUST!"

Xenon roared as a temple grew on his head. He dashed towards Yu aiming for a jab but Yu dodged it and landed five simultaneous blows to his core at blinding speed. Xenon tanked the blows with ease as he kicked Yu in the gut sending him sliding some feet back. Yu threw a jab towards Xenon who dodged it and countered with a jab of his own, Yu blocked his attack but still felt the force causing him to take a step back but Xenon didn't stop, he cornered Yu and landed 10 simultaneous blows to Yu's core forcing Yu to cough up blood.

Yu wiped his face as he raised his hands to block an incoming attack from Xenon. Yu knew he was lacking power; he couldn't beat Xenon without more power. Xenon axe-kicked Yu down to the concrete supposedly ending the match.

"Yu Trevor! you are weak! you proclaimed to defeat ME yet here you are kissing the floor!"

He grabbed Yu's hair and dragged him up, "How will you win?"

He concluded as he sent a punch straight to Yu's face sending him skidding across the pavement and out of commission.

"DONE AND DUSTED."

Yu laid unconscious on the floor, whilst in his mind he was trying hard to confine the memories of five years ago.

Yu...it'll be fine ok.

A feminine voice said.

Yeah...

It will be...fine

The voice said the last part in a deranged tone. After that, screaming could be heard from many other voices.

Am fine.

It'll be fine.

Am fine!

It'll be fine

AM FINE!

It'll be fine

AM NOT FINE!

Ceaseless crying could be heard next and then the feminine voice said again,

"You're such a crybaby, Yu!"

"If you want to become my husband you need to man up!"

"Buff up! So that on our wedding day you won't be a shaking mess when your asked to kiss me."

"Hey!", I snapped.

A figure could be seen holding my cheeks and leaning in...

Get up! You're not done yet.

Yu stood up as he stared at Xenon from behind, his hair blowing upwards in response to his rising levels of Occlusion.

"Xenon am not done yet."

Xenon grinned as he spun around to block a punch from Yu. He aimed for a counter, but he was no longer in sight. Xenon turned to his back to find nothing and yet again turned to find nothing again and again and again.

What the fuck is up with his speed?!

Xenon turned to his back to be instantly greeted with a punch to the face, Xenon was thrown off balance from it and just as he wanted to counter. Yu was not in sight anymore.

The fuck?!

Yu appeared from above and axe-kicked Xenon to the ground forming a small crater.

"Ack!"

Xenon coughed up blood as he clenched his chest, he fell to his knees grasping for air.

"Give up."

Yu said as he looked down on Xenon, his eyes cold and lifeless, his jacket blowing in the wind along with his dark hair. His hands clenched, signaling his readiness to continue the fight. His tall build only added to the humiliation Xenon felt as he had to look up to the egoistical teen with a face of defeat.

Yu Trevor towered over Xenon waiting for answer before turning around,

"I take your silence as an 'I concede'."

Yu walked away in victory as Xenon was trying 'desperately' to get up.

"You must be wondering why you lost."

Yu said without looking back, "You were wrong...the strongest emotion isn't hatred..."

Xenon looked up before being ultimately destroyed by the next thing he said.

"It's Love."

Xenon's face contorted from a look of confusion to one of utter disdain.

"I'LL KILL YOU!"

Xenon exclaimed as he dashed towards Yu. Yu turned around aiming a punch to his core but all of a sudden.

BANG!

A large hole had been carved on the left side of Xenon's torso, and on the walls of 5 buildings behind him. Xenon looked forward to his assailant, Iguro who had taken the shot whilst aimed down sights. Smoke emitted from the muzzle of Xenon's Ballista as Iguro looked at him in horror, upon seeing this Xenon smiled as he died while standing.

He smiled not because Iguro felt remorse for killing him but because the three had completed an Audition for an experiment that lead to the birth of an Observer/Occlude hybrid.
