67: Electric Blue

Avery sighed. She wanted to protest again, but she couldn't. Even when they were still children, Lara has always been like this. Willful and pig-headedly stubborn.

A pained groan made the two women turn to the person sleeping in the bed.

"He's in pain." Avery said. Lara nodded. She sat beside him, trying not to disturb his sleep while she cupped his forehead, feeling his temperature. 

"He's having a fever." She said, and he's burning up fast.

"Here."

Lara glanced over her shoulder and a cold; wet towel appeared. Avery nudged the thing in her hand.

"I hope this will help lower his temperature." She said. And as expected, Avery already had it ready.
