"I truly appreciate your highness help with my father's investigation." Margaret admitted, relief showing on her face. 

Lara smiled. "Please... don't mention it."

Margaret smiled back, "I actually volunteered to be involved in the case, but the department suggested that I take a step back. Let the others handle it instead." She said, her face heavy with regret.

Lara reached for Margaret's hand, afterwards she gave her a comforting smile. "The duke was like a father to me," she said. "And I want justice for him as much as you do."

The corner or Margaret's eyes started to water. 

"T-Thank you..." 

"No. No need to thank me." Lara smiled, shaking her said as she said; "I only promised I'd give you and your family the justice you deserve. You don't have to thank me of it." She affirmed, gently rubbing the young duchess's back to make her feel better which worked since Margaret was already recovering.
