As the princes passed by, Andromeda's eyes met Antioch's, and in that brief moment, a flood of emotions surged within her. She maintained an impassive expression, though inwardly, bitterness lingered. The encounter reminded her of the time when she had defied the Empress's wishes and became engaged to Antioch.

It was then that Antioch, despite his youth, had stood up for her against the Empress's disapproval. Andromeda couldn't shake the feeling of dread that coiled in her veins, slithering like poison. She looked at her sister and than back at Antioch and pursed her lips. Who would think that the connection between her sister and Antioch would lead to her downfall – To think she couldn't see through him? How foolish.

Seeing them was like peeking inside the pandemonium of memories. 

Andromeda glanced at Empress Andraste's cold face and remembered a particular incidence not long after her engagement with crown prince Antioch.
