Dealing with Grief
We deal with grief differently, sometimes it dives the other person crazy expecting you to deal with it how they would do it.
Jakes's father said "how's Laura doing?"
Jakes said " I would lie if I said I know how she is doing, she is shutting me out does not want to talk about it and only time she talks to me is when we are studying only about the exams on her mind."
Jakes's father said "it should not affect her studies, good thing she is preparing for her exams."
Jakes said "you don't get it, I'm worried about her and she does not like talking about feelings how she feels."
Jakes's father said "she is not like you, let her deal with this her way and don't push her. I think I like her and she is good for you son."
How do you handle such situations Laura hates talking about her feelings and her relationship with jakes still new? They don't know each other that well to be able to know how to deal with such when life gets complicated.
Jakes said "we need to talk babe. "
Laura said "what part of my father is dead you don't get, he is gone and the world doesn't stop I need to study."
Jakes said "you been studying the whole day, just put those books away, you could use some air been in this room all day."
Laura said "I will stay here."
Jakes said "fine, I will stay here too. If you don't want me here, you will have to come out of this room."
Opening Up
After a while, she was crying.
"I hate you, why can't you understand I don't want to talk. how he treated me badly, how I feel empty inside, I'm angry how could he die like that, so many things I wanted to tell him, that I love him after everything he put me through. I wanted him to protect me, believe me, his uncle tried to rape me and he did nothing, said I was lying and my mother was raped by his friend and just can't make sense of this. If I was raped I wouldn't have had anyone to be there with me and that scared me. Just unresolved issues with him, he is gone now how do I forget all this and move on?" Laura said.
Jakes said "I'm here, nothing is going to happen to you. Maybe your father was in denial, what happened to your mother could have happened to you, that will drive anyone crazy and why was your uncle not there at the funeral?"
Laura said "I don't know how I would have reacted if he was there and I'm sure my stepmother called him, pretty much does not care about how I feel."
Jakes said "well I do, I love you and care deeply for you, let's go out and have something to eat."
Laura said "we are not riding bicycles right, I'm exhausted. "
Jakes said "it was fun ridding them but not exchanging my sport cars for a bicycle. "
Laura said "your love for fast cars, as long as I am number 1 babe."

Laura said "what jakes?"
Jakes said "I'm kidding, when you call my name I know I'm in trouble. "
