Chapitre 209: Impromptu Meeting (2)

"The vampire king was here yesterday," one man started and Lucas nodded. "Someone saw him leave your house before the fighting started so... what was he doing here in the first place?"

Lucas had expected that would be one of the questions but he didn't answer immediately because someone might want to add to that question. When no one did, he took in a deep breath and said, "Well, yes he was in my house but I didn't invite him over. This might sound ridiculous but a witch teleported him over."

The eyebrows of the man that had asked the question shot up. "I –" he looked speechless and Lucas was about to think they didn't believe him when Gabriel who had now picked up her tablet back said, "Oh. Was it the witch that you guys fought in the forest?"

"Yes, her," Lucas replied immediately, not wanting to bring Nia/Imani into this even though he knew that someone would still bring up Imani at a point. "She was the one that teleported him over to my place."
