"Magic?" Lucille asked, disbelief etched on her face and Lucas nodded. He couldn't believe it either. "Lucas, fifty years ago –"
"Yes, yes. There have been no witches for fifty years," he cut her off as he sprinkled the egg in the middle of the toast on the skillet with salt and pepper and waited for it to set a bit on the bottom.
Everyone knew the stories of how all the witches of the Wigan coven disappeared hundred years ago and how humans thought that vampires and werewolves killed the witches of the other seven covens fifty years ago. The truth was, the vampires and the werewolves weren't the ones that killed the witches and they didn't know who did but there was no point in convincing humans otherwise.
