Chris and Grace put on a serious expression. They then began to report the ongoing activities that have been happening around the world.
"Well, first of all, we'd like to apologize. It was hard enough for us to get back here. And since we are former agents, the eyes the government was on us. We didn't want to make things a little bit too suspicious so we took our time in the Rotting Lands. We also made preparations for a possible base to be made in the Rotting Lands. The weapons and drug dealers will be managing that."
"No need to apologize. We all must work only at the appointed time. I should visit the Rotting Lands soon if that is the case. So many drug dealers and people of ill repute. These will be perfect mission fields." Eagle smiled.
"Mission fields?"
Just a bit of a warning... Originally, the discussions that will follow on the next three or so chapters were things that I originally wanted to reveal in bits and pieces, spread seperately with 10 or so chapters in between. But I decided to bundle them all up becasue of everything that has been happening in January.
Forest fires, wars and rumors of wars, locust plagues in Africa, volcanoes erupting, Corona Virus and so on...
I originally wanted to divide the contents of the next chapters because 1. This isn't a "Christian" story. I borrowed many of the known themes and theology and added my twist in a way because I'm knowledgable in them. (Kinda like dan browns da vinci code, but with a twist that portrays christianity in a more positive light) 2. Too much bible talk in a sci-fi story? Of course I wanted to avoid that.
But the reason why I decided to bundle it all up together now, because of its timeliness. The next chapters will talk about the end of the world. And while Eagle will have his own demented twist in this (You'll see shortly) it will undoubtedly tackle issues about the End Times. And that is quite a hot topic now with all that's happening in our world.
So just in case the world ends sooner than we think, I guess it's better if I do this.
Next chapter on Wednesday!
