"Zel Zol (05723A) , the current Mission Leader on Terra," she responded, using the old name for Earth. 

After constructing multiple portals in Asia, she could now reach out to her home planet. 

However, this was the limit of her progress for the moment, as the energy required to activate the portals was huge, so opening it would need a lot of time and resources. 

Contacting their home planet was something she wanted to avoid if possible because it would signify their failure in their mission. 

Their purpose was to prevent humanity from advancing too far while also ensuring it wasn't completely destroyed. 

The reason for this was because terrifying beings called the Architect were imprisoned within Tera.
