Chapitre 94: Don't get cold feet now

Ivo tossed and turned the entire night, barely sleeping a wink. In the morning he woke up feeling like he'd been put through a strong rinse cycle in a crappy washing machine. 

Sara was completely unconcerned with Guilherme's absence at breakfast. Nibbling her toast without as much as glance away from her holopad. It was Dona Ana who almost got them in trouble with her questioning.

"But he never misses work."

"He's working from his bedroom today, he has a really bad headache."

"Well, shouldn't I take some food upstairs to him then?"

"He said he would call if he needed anything."

She wasn't impressed that Ivo had a rebuttal for all of her concerns. Her wizened gaze cast a wide shadow over him, following his every motion around the kitchen, looking for a weakness she could exploit. She had probably seen several good-looking, ambitious, nannies come and try to ingratiate themselves to Guilherme.
