LET THE CHAPTER BEGIN

"I was seriously expecting you guys to hesitate or even refuse to kill," Aki remarked as they walked out of the prison. "I was planning to help you overcome that fear. What a serious letdown."
"In your dreams" Ryuu snickered back.
"Hehe, my father already helped me with that before" Kaito replied as if it was a major accomplishment.
Sayuri just kept to herself in the banter, even if she did say something it would be 'secret'.
"Anyway, we did it too fast. So, let's go get our next mission" Aki suggested.
The office doors swung open, and Aki strolled in confidently, his team trailing behind. His blue eyes gleamed with quiet intensity, a stark contrast to the playful smirk on his lips.
"Yo! Rai-Ka-Gay-Sama!" Aki called out, his voice cutting through the quiet buzz of activity in the office.
Ay looked up. Mabui raised an eyebrow, and Darui sighed, clearly amused but too tired to stop Aki's antics.
"Why are you back so soon." Ay was shocked at their quick return, with a pause he continued "Did your team really complete their mission?"
Aki grinned mischievously and handed a scroll to Ay, "Yes, here."
'This is what I expect from ninjas of my village.' The efficiency of the team surprised Ay, every kid one-shotted their target, saving their victims the pain of slow death.
'Lucy sons of bitches.'
For a moment, the Raikage's lips twitched into a rare smile. Then he threw his head back in laughter, his booming voice echoing through the room. "You little bastards actually pulled it off! Good job!" In his excitement, he slammed his fist on the table, reducing it to splinters.
Mabui sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Another one…"
Ay ignored her and turned his attention back to the team. "You're dismissed. Go rest up."
But Aki wasn't about to take no for an answer so easily. "Rest up? Come on, Rai-Kage-sama. That mission was way too easy. Give us something else—something challenging!"
Ay raised a hand, signaling silence. "You may be a Jonin, Aki, but your team is made up of genin. They can't keep up with you if you're pushing for back-to-back missions."
The smirk on Aki's face faltered for a moment before returning. "I'm not dragging them into anything they can't handle. They've been pulling their weight."
The Raikage's gaze sharpened. "And who do you think is responsible if something goes wrong? You're their leader. Your strength doesn't change the fact that you're responsible for your team's growth and safety."
Aki stiffened but didn't break eye contact. "I know that. But they're stronger than you think. They've proven it."
Ay leaned back, his expression softening slightly. "They've proven they're good genin. That doesn't mean they're ready for what you're capable of handling."
Ay paused for a second and then followed, "Rest up, have fun, and celebrate the success of your team's first successful mission."
Aki clenched his fists, but he nodded. "Fine. I'll hold off on another mission—for now." He turned to his friends and sighed, "You heard the man, dismissed."
"I'll be waiting for you outside," Kaito said not taking the dismissal seriously at all and said to Ryuu and Sayuri "Come on let's go."
"I'll be waiting outside too" Sayuri suddenly said as well before turning her feet.
As his team left the office, Aki hesitated by the door. Once it clicked shut behind his teammates, he turned back to Ay. The playful energy he exuded earlier was replaced with a rare seriousness.
"I have an idea," he said.
Ay raised an eyebrow. "This should be good. What is it?"
"Chunin Exams," Aki said, stepping closer. "But not just any. I'm talking about a real alliance-builder. Invite every hidden village, even the smaller ones. Turn it into something bigger than just promotion exams."
The Raikage's eyes narrowed. "You've thought this through, haven't you?"
Aki nodded. "The war may be over, but the cracks are still there. Everyone's trying to rebuild, but it's a fragile peace. This could be a way to strengthen it. Get people talking, and working together—on our turf. Besides," he added with a sly smile, "it's a perfect way to show the world that Kumo is stronger than ever."
Ay leaned forward, his elbows resting on the desk. "And you think this will work? That they'll come, just because we invite them?"
"They'll come," Aki said confidently. "Nobody wants to be left out if this turns into something big. And it will. Trust me."
Ay studied him for a long moment, his gaze weighing not just the idea but the boy standing before him. "You're sharp, Aki. Too sharp for your own good sometimes. But you're not a politician."
"I'm not trying to be," Aki said. "I'm a ninja. I do what I can to make Kumo stronger. This is just another way to do that."
The Raikage smirked. "You've got guts, I'll give you that. I'll consider it. But don't think for a second that I'm letting you run the show."
Aki's grin returned. "Wouldn't dream of it, Rai-Ka-gay-sama."
Ay waved him off with a gruff laugh. "Get out of here before I change my mind."
Aki smiled again. He knew this would be a great opportunity if the exam was hosted. He might even be able to meet some of his other favorite characters.
"I wonder how Gaara is right now" Aki muttered to himself wondering, "Just like Naruto, he also needs a brother."
'He was such a great character in the verse and the character development he experienced was great. The only thing he lacked was love, which gave birth to his most iconic dialogue.'
"If love is just a word, then why does it hurt when you realize it isn't there?" Aki said it out loud after he got rid of Kaito after accompanying him to play for a bit.
'I need to learn a sage mode soon, otherwise I can't replicate a Rasenshuriken. Shall I start trying vanishing Rasengan? I don't have to worry about any other jutsu any way' Aki started to go over his plans and progress.
He had yet to master Tenso no Jutsu, he could teleport scrolls a bit now, but it was still limited in range, not to mention the misfires i.e. objects going in random directions sometimes.
Aki was already done with his other jutsu, Lightning Release: Lightning Flash Pillars. A jutsu used in anime by Shee (or C) for genjutsu.
Aki's genjutsu resistance was pretty high, he could resist or release genjutsu of a certain level by now, of course, Tsukuyomi and Kotoamatsukami are still a big problem.
He was sure his Anti-Theft could handle the later, but the former would be really dangerous.
"Lightning Release: Lightning Chakra Mode"
Aki boosted his speed to max adding in body flicker and flash step, he disappeared from where he was walking and in a near instant reached the 3rd peak.
"I need a sage mode." Aki sighed once again thinking of Rasenshuriken and decided to try vanishing Rasengan.
Aki jumped over the railing so he could do the experimentation and the practice over water surface.
It wasn't simple to do consciously, Aki had to add lightning in different ways and try to throw Rasengan as a normal Rasengan isn't throwable as long he is able to throw, it should be near success.
The swirls of chakra soon appeared in the palm of his hand, increasing one by one and eventually transforming into a sphere also known as Rasengan.
Infusing his lightning release chakra into this he started practice, adding in lightning chakra wasn't really stable as:
The Rasengan destabilized and exploded creating a large swirl of chakra before disappearing. 'I almost made a massive whirlpool in water'
Aki kept practicing, but this time creating the rings of Ice for a little better protection against a potential cyclone.
During his practice and multiple failures, the darkness of the night enveloped the world. 'Time to call it a night'
Aki stopped practicing and went home. In anticipation of the upcoming day, he covered himself in a blanket and sighed, "Tomorrow is going to be another busy day."
As he drifted to sleep the clock moved moon sat while the sun had yet to rise, time approached dawn, but the sky was still dark.
Aki opened his eyes at this moment and looked at the horizon, 'Sun bro! you know what I want to say right?'
Leaving his bed, Aki went to freshen himself up and soon he was ready to move out. "I guess time to go for morning practice"
Aki changed his training ground and moved onto a new peak, but even so, he jumped over the railing.
SPLASH.
After stabilizing himself Aki sighed once more, "I still prefer the water surface for training."
"Wind Release: Wind Blade"
Aki used one of the first few techniques he learned and a blade made of wind got extended from his hand. Aki raised his hand near his chest and made a cutting motion outward.
The blade of wind left his hand and traveled some distance before it got dispelled. The original version just formed a non-throwable wind blade as an extension of his arm.
Mastery of the jutsu allowed Aki to modify and add in the option to shoot it out by using motions of his hands. But that wasn't all to his mastery of this jutsu.
Aki created another technique, a second but deadlier version of the technique.
"Wind Release: Homing Blades."
Aki swept his arm forward. In an instant, hundreds of wind blades burst forward.
They spread across the open space like a swarm, each one taking a unique path as if targeting an invisible enemy. Though this was just practice, Aki treated it like the real thing.
Each blade was sharp enough to be able to cut through the defenses of a Jonin actively reinforcing their body and it would slice them in half.
The wind howled as the blades cut through it, their paths crossing and weaving like a chaotic dance. For a moment, they seemed scattered over a wide field, without purpose. Then, Aki clenched his fist.
The scattered storm stopped. Every blade, no matter how far it had flown, pivoted sharply and streaked toward a single point. Then, in a blinding instant, they collided.
The blades smashed into each other with such ferocity that the air and water alike seemed to shatter.
The devastating impact generated a massive shockwave, sending waves rippling across the surface beneath Aki's feet. The force churned the water violently, but Aki stood firm, his technique holding steady against the chaos.
Dust, mist, and the sharp tang of ozone filled the air as the sound of the collision echoed like rolling thunder. Aki ran a hand through his windblown hair, smirking at the aftermath.
"Perfect," he calmly said as the water stilled around him once more.
