Chapitre 25: Chapter 25: The Wrath of the Raikage

Before starting reading, I want to thank you all for the votes and adding this to your library collection. But there is some news for you all readers, this story is written by me for fun. Not for profit, I'm posting it here just for sharing.

Also, because this is a fanfic. There will be some alternate part of the story from the canon, especially in this chapter where I put Onoki's son in charge of Iwagakure camp. This son of Onoki is not in canon, so this is just a made up character to further develop the plot.

Also I will probably reduce the amount of chapters being posted, since my mid term exam is coming soon and tons of projects need my attention. Even now while posting this, I'm going to do a voice recording for a video project.

Thank you for reading and please enjoy this chapter~!

The skies over Kumogakure were brooding, heavy with dark clouds as if reflecting the tension within the village itself. News of Ei's team's close brush with death had spread quickly, and the Third Raikage's fury was palpable. His daughter had nearly died, and two of her comrades were in critical condition. Yugito was still recovering from her battle with Roshi, while Samui remained under observation after taking heavy injuries from Iwagakure's bomb squad while protecting Mabui and Yugito.

For the Third Raikage, this was not just about revenge—it was about making a statement. Iwagakure had crossed a line, and they would pay dearly for it.

Standing at the forefront of the Raikage Tower, the Third Raikage, A, looked down at his assembled elite jonin. The gathered shinobi were some of the strongest in Kumogakure, handpicked for this mission. Their faces were set in grim determination, knowing full well that their leader's rage would not subside until Iwagakure's forces were obliterated.

Behind the Raikage, his ANBU guards stood ready, silent and motionless like shadows. In front of him, 3,000 elite jonin had gathered. Their mission was clear: destroy Iwagakure's forces at the border and kill their commander, Kintsuchi, the eldest son of the Third Tsuchikage, Onoki.

"Kintsuchi has taken the lives of our comrades," the Raikage began, his voice carrying the weight of his anger. "He thought he could break our forces, kill my daughter, and leave without consequence. We will show them the true strength of Kumogakure."

A ripple of energy passed through the ranks of jonin as the Raikage spoke. They all knew of Kintsuchi's reputation. Famous for his strategic brilliance, Kintsuchi was also feared for his mastery of Earth-Style jutsu and the unique bloodline limit he possessed—Explosion Earth Jutsu. He was capable of summoning massive golems of earth and infusing them with explosive power, making him a devastating force on the battlefield. However, none of that mattered to the Raikage. His mind was made up: Kintsuchi would die tonight.

"We march to the border now," A commanded, his fists crackling with the unmistakable energy of his Lightning Chakra Mode. "And when we arrive, we will leave nothing but ruins."

---

The journey to the border was swift, the elite forces of Kumogakure moving like shadows through the forest. Their leader, the Raikage, led from the front, his presence alone an unstoppable force driving them forward. No words were needed. Everyone knew the mission, and no one would hesitate when the time came to strike.

As they neared the Iwagakure camp, scouts returned with information. The camp was fortified, heavily defended by earth-style barriers and hidden traps, just as expected. Kintsuchi was known for his meticulous planning and defensive strategies, and it was clear he had prepared for any attack. But the Raikage was not concerned with barriers or traps. His goal was simple: to annihilate the enemy.

"Prepare for the assault," A ordered, his voice barely a whisper but heard clearly by all. "No survivors. Strike swiftly and crush them."

The jonin moved into position, spreading out around the camp, ready to attack from all sides. The Raikage stood at the center, his hands clenched into fists, his eyes fixed on the enemy camp. His body hummed with power, his Lightning Chakra Mode already active, crackling around him like a living storm.

With a single motion, he unleashed the first strike.

A bolt of lightning erupted from his fist, tearing through the air and smashing into the earth-style barrier that surrounded the camp. The explosion rocked the ground, and the barrier crumbled under the sheer force of the attack. At that moment, the signal was given, and Kumogakure's elite forces poured into the camp like a tide of vengeance.

---

Chaos erupted as the elite jonin surged into the Iwagakure camp. The ground shook as earth jutsu clashed with lightning, creating explosions of dust and debris. Iwagakure shinobi scrambled to defend themselves, but they were no match for the precision and power of Kumogakure's forces.

At the heart of the camp, Kintsuchi stood tall, his sharp eyes surveying the battlefield. His face remained calm, though inside, he knew this battle would be unlike any other. The Raikage himself had come, and the elite of Kumogakure were overwhelming his defenses.

But Kintsuchi was not one to retreat. As the eldest son of the Third Tsuchikage, he had been trained from a young age to lead and defend his village. He clenched his fists, his chakra flaring as he prepared to fight.

With a swift series of hand seals, Kintsuchi slammed his palms into the ground. The earth around him rumbled, and with a roar, a massive golem of stone erupted from the ground. The creature towered over the battlefield, nearly 20 meters tall, its stone body gleaming in the moonlight. It moved with slow, deliberate steps, its eyes glowing with the explosive energy that Kintsuchi had infused into it.

The giant earth golem let out a deafening roar as it lumbered toward the invading forces. Kumogakure's jonin barely had time to react as the golem swung one massive arm, smashing through the ranks of shinobi like they were nothing. The ground trembled with each step it took, and the explosions that followed each impact left craters in the earth.

But the Raikage was unfazed.

A narrowed his eyes as he watched the golem's destructive rampage. With a flash, he disappeared, moving faster than the eye could follow. In an instant, he reappeared at the base of the golem, his body crackling with lightning.

With a single punch, the Raikage struck the golem's leg, shattering the stone with ease. The golem stumbled, its massive form collapsing as the Raikage continued his assault, landing blow after blow, each one infused with lightning chakra. The explosions caused by the golem's crumbling form sent shockwaves through the battlefield, but the Raikage was already moving toward Kintsuchi.

Kintsuchi's eyes widened as he saw the Raikage closing in on him. He quickly formed more hand seals, summoning another earth wall to protect himself, but it was too late. The Raikage broke through the barrier with a single strike, sending chunks of stone flying in all directions.

The two leaders stood face to face for a moment, the tension between them palpable. Kintsuchi knew he was no match for the Raikage's sheer power, but he refused to back down. He was the eldest son of the Tsuchikage, and he would not let his village fall without a fight.

With a roar, Kintsuchi unleashed his Explosion Earth Jutsu, slamming his hands into the ground once more. The earth beneath the Raikage exploded in a series of deadly blasts, sending debris and shrapnel flying in all directions.

But the Raikage was already gone, his speed unmatched. He appeared behind Kintsuchi in a flash of lightning, his fist raised and glowing with power.

"You've made a grave mistake," the Raikage growled.

Before Kintsuchi could react, the Raikage's fist connected with his back, sending a surge of lightning through his body. Kintsuchi screamed in pain as the electricity tore through him, but he managed to twist around and throw a desperate punch. The Raikage caught it with ease, his grip crushing Kintsuchi's wrist.

"You dare challenge me?" A's voice was filled with fury.

With a final, brutal motion, the Raikage drove his fist into Kintsuchi's chest, the force of the blow shattering bone and tearing through flesh. Kintsuchi's body convulsed as the lightning coursed through him, his vision fading as the world around him grew dark.

The last thing he saw was the Raikage's cold, unforgiving gaze.

---

The battle was over in minutes. Without their commander, Iwagakure's forces crumbled under the assault of Kumogakure's elite jonin. The camp was left in ruins, and those who survived fled into the mountains, abandoning their posts in fear.

The Raikage stood amidst the destruction, his chest heaving from the exertion but his expression calm and resolute. His fists still crackled with residual lightning as he surveyed the battlefield, his eyes narrowing as he took in the devastation.

"Send a message to the Tsuchikage," he said, his voice cold and commanding. "Let him know his son is dead, and this is the price of crossing Kumogakure."

One of his ANBU quickly stepped forward, bowing before leaving to carry out the Raikage's orders.

---

The news of the Third Raikage's assault spread like wildfire across the shinobi world. Kintsuchi, the eldest son of the Third Tsuchikage, had been killed in a single night, and Iwagakure's forces had been decimated. The other villages trembled at the thought of Kumogakure's power, knowing that any who challenged them would meet a similar fate.

The Third Raikage had made his statement clear, and the world would not forget the wrath of Kumogakure.
