Chapitre 26: Chapter 26 Lightning Release
While Riku was airborne, he felt a bit disappointed to say the least, Kumokagure was the hidden village of the land of lightning, so Riku had expected there to be loads of really powerful lightning jutsu kept within.
But in reality, there was barely anything of use, barely any powerful jutsu and nothing related to the lightning chakra mode.
Riku sighed, he had been flying for a whole day and he was only at the land of hot water, and so he decided to take a rest.

With a loud thud, Riku landed in a dense forest within the land of hot water
Riku groaned as he lifted himself back up, he was still quite bad at sticking the landing, but at least he didn't land on his face this time.
Riku landed in the middle of a forest, so he didn't grab the attention of any people or passing shinobi.
With a sigh, Riku climbed up a tree, and sat snugly on a branch, he looked up at the night sky and his gaze softened, he was 11 years old now, so it had been 3 years since he reincarnated for the second time, "Haa… I hope Rauri's doing okay" Riku sighed.
*Who is Rauri?* Kokuenryū asked with a surprisingly gentle tone.
"He was my only friend back in my last life, he was the king of the Beauchamp kingdom and he could steal Máti without any of the drawbacks" Riku chuckled while imagining Rauri's signature grin.
Kokuenryū's gaze hardened and he didn't reply. '*I could've sworn there was someone with multiple Máti watching our battle from afar…*' Kokuenryū thought to himself, but brushed it off and went to sleep alongside Riku.

Waking up the next morning, Riku decided to stay here for a while. (Until he gets attacked.)
That's what Riku had been doing for the past couple years, he had been setting camp and training until someone attacks him, then he'd move onto the next village.
"Can you check for any villages?" Riku asked with a yawn.
*6 kilometres to your south east.*
Kokuenryū replied with a sleepy tone.
"Thank you." Riku replied with a smile as he racked his brain for the knowledge of the few good jutsu he had found along with an introduction to genjutsu.
*Hey… before you begin, can you make a clone consisting solely of my chakra? I'd like to see if I could take control of it and go on a walk.* Kokuenryū asked, as if he'd been waiting to ask for a while.
"Sure, I don't see why not." Riku replied somewhat skeptically, whenever Kokuenryū took control he had no problems with slaughtering innocents, but this way Riku wouldn't feel like the blood was on his hands, and also it's not like Kokuenryū could simply leave him. Oh and if Kokuenryū tried to kill him, he would die also so Riku had no worries.
Riku summoned a shadow clone with about half of Kokuenryū's chakra.
The clone suddenly looked at Riku and spoke in Kokuenryū's voice *Ah, this feels weird…* he sighed, then sat down.
And then… his body began to convulse and shift as he seemingly tried to regain his draconic form.
But instead of growing, his body seemed to be shrinking?

In the dense forestry of the land of hot water, a loud sound of laughter was heard.
Riku was on his back covering his face and laughing hysterically, and Kokuenryū, was glaring at Riku.
Riku moved his hand from his face, getting another look at Kokuenryū, just to cover his face again and burst out with even more laughter.
Kokuenryū, in his 'Dragon' form continued to glare at Riku.
After a while Riku wiped his tears and looked at Kokuenryū who was…
A cat.
Not just any cat, Kokuenryū looked exactly like Riku's cat from his first life.
"You look just like him! You even have his scar!" Riku nearly burst out laughing again but was bitten by Kokuenryū.
It obviously didn't hurt, he was a cat!
Kokuenryū looked at Riku with his emerald green eyes, one eye covered by black fur and the other by white fur and his nose had a small scar going from the bottom all the way to the edge of the black fur covering his left eye.
(P.s this isn't a self insert story but I love my cat so much I had to add him to it.)
His body was long and extremely fluffy and his tail even longer, making him look extremely cute and cuddly.
"Haa, I'm sorry you just look so similar to my cat Pedro." Riku sighed and unconsciously stroked the cat.
Kokuenryū unconsciously pushed into the stroke and purred, they then both backed up and screamed.
Kokuenryū looked at Riku in horror and nearly shouted *I-Im going on a walk.* Kokuenryū quickly ran away, leaving Riku dumbfounded.
"What the hell…" Riku sighed again, but brushed it off and began to train his lightning jutsu, he'd train genjutsu later.

First of all, Riku didn't expect to use any of these lightning abilities as they all seemed a bit… raw so he wanted to add some Riku juice to it.
The first was the B-rank Thunderclap Arrow, The user moulds, then shapes lightning-natured chakra. They can then throw the lightning as a projectile-based attack.
Riku didn't remember this from the show, 'maybe it was from boruto or something.' Riku thought, he didn't watch that show because apparently it was really bad.
Then there was the B-rank Thunderbolt jutsu, The user extends one or both arms, releasing a high discharge through said palms, targeting multiple opponents simultaneously.
Riku remembered omoi using this jutsu a couple times in the show.
Then, there was the introduction to genjutsu and finally the Lightning Illusion Flash of Lightning Pillar genjutsu, The user discharges electricity through their entire body in the form of an extremely bright light to disorientate their target's vision. Once this is done, the user can implant images in their head.
Riku was somewhat satisfied with this, as he could now learn basic Lightning jutsu and could then create his own and modify these ones.
Riku summoned 20 shadow clones and they all got to work on the Thunderclap arrow.
The easy part was quickly completed, within just 10 minutes one of the clones was able to create an arrow out of lightning and hold it for a few seconds before throwing it at a tree, causing the tree to collapse.
Riku looked at the clone proudly and with respect, and then released the clones, then summoned them back with the knowledge of how to use the jutsu.
And here's where it got interesting, Riku wanted the weapon to not look like an arrow, but a spear resembling a lightning bolt.
Riku was a pretty big fan of Greek mythology in his first life, so he wanted a jutsu that resembled Zeus' lightning bolt.
However, this proved way easier than expected, and Riku himself managed it on the first try.
Satisfied, Riku began the hardest part, adding Yang and maybe Yin chakra to replicate the effect of the monoflame to his lightning, having a monospark sounds pretty cool aswell.
Riku's idea was to use Yang chakra to effectively 'give life' to his lightning, in turn it giving it sentience allowing it to 'chase' his target until it is destroyed.
However, Riku didn't know where to begin with Yin chakra, so for now he'd focus on applying Yang chakra.
Riku once again summoned 20 shadow clones and got to work.

Kokuenryū walked with a bounce in his step, his little body walking around leisurely and scouting the area.
*Lets check this village out eh,* Kokuenryū was walking towards the village he had detected within his sensory field.
About 200 meters away from the village, Kokuenryū suddenly sensed a few life forces rapidly approaching him.
Turning around, Kokuenryū saw a little girl with long messy light blonde hair and pale lavender eyes running towards him with an evil grin on her face holding a large burlap sack over her back.
And behind her, Kokuenryū saw a couple of older men chasing her.
Kokuenryū didn't think much of it, but the girl suddenly screamed, "Run kitty! They will hurt you!"
Kokuenryū felt strange hearing this, but it had been a while since someone had showed concern for him, so he turned around and bared his fangs.
However, he suddenly realised that he was not a dragon and his heart dropped.
Now, he was running alongside the girl away from the group of men.
Kokuenryū suddenly realised that he was acting very cowardly, and stopped.
He then turned around and faced the group with a sigh, breathing a large amount of air in, and then his eyes suddenly became a shade of white and he breathed out a large Black and White Sea of flames.
"FIRE!!" The man in the forefront of the group screamed while the others were frozen still.
Kokuenryū realised that despite his feline appearance, he was still a dragon at heart, and not just any dragon.
He was Kokuenryū, the ancient dragon of black and white flame! To run away from mere humans? Pathetic!
The black and white flames engulfing the men suddenly whirled and twisted into a spiral upwards, surrounding the men in a tornado of his black and white flame.
The men were not shinobi, nor even bandits, just regular humans, so resistance was futile.
The group of men were quickly reduced to ash and their screams were heard by no one but themselves.
Kokuenryū sighed in relief and he turned to see the girl with a shocked expression, her mouth agape and he could see one of her two front teeth missing, giving her quite a cute appearance.
Kokuenryū tried to speak but all that came out was a "Meooooow~"
Kokuenryū's eyes widened and he covered his mouth with his white paw.
The little girl rushed over and picked Kokuenryū up and looked into his now emerald green eyes with a bright smile.
"Kitty! You saved me!" The little girl spun around with Kokuenryū in her embrace, making the Ancient dragon feel a bit awkward.
Kokuenryū tried to escape her embrace, but for some reason he didn't feel obligated to rip her to shreds, so he refrained from using any force.
The girl walked with a bounce in her step towards a tree with a strange engraving on it.
The girl suddenly began to climb the tree with Kokuenryū placed on her back, making him hold on for dear life.
Kokuenryū watched with a squint as he looked over the girls apparent home.
He saw drawings on the walls of a little girl holding hands with another little girl and two bigger people, then drawings of a demon attacking a little girl and a big person, then one of a little girl being carried away while screaming, then he saw drawings of people chasing a smaller girl, then drawings of a little girl being killed by a blood red dragon and a large tornado, and then a drawing of… a Black and White dragon?

In the dense forestry, Riku could be seen with his hair in a ponytail jumping for joy without his shirt on, covered in sweat.
Riku quickly summoned a clone, and had it hide behind a tree.
Riku then breathed out, focused his chakra into his hands, held them together like he was praying, then opened his arms wide as if he was trying to hug someone and summoned a bolt of white lightning reminiscent of Zeus lightning bolt held in his right hand.
Riku grinned, his face illuminated with the white light from his jutsu.
Riku then chose his target, that being his shadow clone hiding behind the tree, and threw the bolt to his right, away from the tree.
The spear of white lightning spun around, heading back towards Riku, spinning around his body and then towards the tree his clone was behind.
It then rotated and spun around the tree, hitting his shadow clone through the chest, then appearing on the other side of his chest as a much smaller lightning bolt.
The smaller bolt spun around the tree a few more times then flew towards Riku and then into the sky.
Riku grinned and began to jump for joy yet again, "That's so cool!" Riku smiled brightly and prepared to do this again and again until he was exhausted.

Bamboo village, the land of hot water.
An elderly man was sitting on a chair with a few other elders and some middle aged men.
The man spoke in a low tone, "That demon kid has been stealing food again, and the men we sent to apprehend her have all gone missing." He spoke with anger evident on his face.
One of the elderly women spoke, "Where did she even come from, those eyes of hers are certainly not from Kumogakure or Konoha…" she spoke with a deep sigh.
"Io, should we request aid from Kumogakure?" One of the middle aged men holding a bamboo spear chimed in.
"We're running low on funds thanks to that brat… How would we go about payment?" The village leader, Io spoke while massaging his forehead.
The man holding the bamboo spear looked to be in thought for a moment, but then chimed in "The lightning group have helped us before, why don't we ask them?" The man spoke, looking as if he was the smartest man in the world.
"Wouldn't that cost more?" Io spoke, removing his palm from his forehead.
The spear wielding man spoke yet again, "Not necessarily, they know us well so maybe they'd cut the payment down." The man replied.
Io looked disappointedly at the man, 'How is my village failing so badly, we used to be able to produce atleast somewhat smart people…' Io sighed, but in reality, if they managed to get rid of the girl, their financial situation would probably be resolved.
The truth is, Io tried to bring her into the village, but most of the villagers were scared of her piercing lavender eyes, thus decreasing morale for the village and the girl.
Thanks to being treated this way, she began to become a nuisance, stealing food and starting fights became an everyday occurrence.
Io sighed and began writing a request to the group of mercenaries known as the Lightning group in order to remove the girl.
