Chen was visibly bored as he faced Kokuō.
"This is getting boring…" he muttered, shaking his head in disappointment.
The Five-Tails posed no challenge for him. Without further delay, he delivered a lightning-fast kick that knocked the beast down with brutal force.
Boom!
Kokuō fell to the ground with a devastating impact, shattering a large section of the terrain beneath its weight. The beast's form began to dissipate, revealing Han's body, still clad in his samurai armor, unconscious amidst the rubble.
"Why are you so weak…?" Chen said quietly as he looked down at the jinchūriki lying among the debris.
Wasting no time, he rushed toward Han, and a violet sphere appeared in his hand. With precision, he began extracting the remaining chakra of the Five-Tails from the jinchūriki's body.
After absorbing more than half of Kokuō's chakra, he stopped the process, and the sphere vanished from his hand.
Turning his attention to the Four-Tails, Son Gokū, Chen observed as the bijū was brutally subdued by a colossal statue. Son Gokū, who already had an unappealing appearance, now looked even more pathetic as he was dragged across the ground. He was undeniably a disappointment compared to the legendary Monkey King, Wukong.
Not even Kurama, the powerful Nine-Tails, could rival that statue. Son Gokū stood even less of a chance.
As long as Chen had chakra, the statue could regenerate indefinitely, making it impossible to defeat without facing him first.
Jumping onto the statue's head, the violet sphere appeared again, quickly extracting Son Gokū's chakra. The Four-Tails' body began to shrink visibly until it was thin and weak, with an even more unpleasant appearance than before.
Forced to return to his jinchūriki, Son Gokū disappeared inside Rōshi, leaving the man unconscious on the ground.
Satisfied, Chen dismissed his summoning. The colossal statue faded into the air, leaving a void in the forest, and finally… he turned his gaze toward Shukaku, who was being miserably crushed by the Susanoo.
"Damn Susanoo! You wouldn't beat me without that thing! If you've got the guts, come fight me directly. I'll crush you and send you to the heavens!" Shukaku roared in fury as he was subdued.
Chen had no intention of wasting time with him. From a distance, Chen swiftly extracted Shukaku's chakra, significantly weakening the bijū.
The massive One-Tail began to shrink as his chakra was drained.
With Shukaku neutralized, Chen returned to Han and, without hesitation, forcibly extracted the Five-Tails.
He considered the combat power of the Five-Tails to be quite decent and decided he would use it as his summoning beast. Among the nine tailed beasts, aside from the Nine-Tails and the Eight-Tails, the Five-Tails was undoubtedly the strongest.
As for the Eight-Tails, Chen didn't even bother to think about it. After all, whether it was an octopus or a cow, it was simply too unappealing for his taste.
Regarding the Nine-Tails, it was sealed inside Tomo, a young girl. He had no intention of harming a child, so he didn't consider using the Nine-Tails. Therefore, the Five-Tails became his best option.
He didn't care in the slightest if Iwagakure got upset. To him, what he liked was his, and that was that.
Chen proceeded to extract the Five-Tails from Han's dying body and then, by force, signed a summoning contract with the beast, making it his pet.
As for Han, the jinchūriki of the Five-Tails, he didn't survive the process. Unlike the members of the Uzumaki clan, he didn't possess a bloodline with enough vitality to withstand the separation from his tailed beast.
His fate was sealed the moment Kokuō was extracted.
"Go! I'll summon you if I need anything. Don't let yourself be captured, and beyond that, I don't care," Chen said, dismissing Kokuō with a nonchalant wave.
Kokuō was perplexed.
He hadn't expected that, after being forced into a humiliating contract, he would be granted his freedom almost immediately.
Had he won or lost?
Without thinking too much, he ran toward the horizon, never looking back. For the tailed beasts, freedom was the most valuable thing.
Chen, having glanced at the One-Tail's jinchūriki and the Four-Tails' jinchūriki, decided to leave.
They no longer held any value to him, and he saw no reason to continue worrying about them.
…
When Chen returned to Konoha's camp, Ōnoki and the Third Kazekage hurried over, their faces anxious.
"Chen Hyuga! Where are the jinchūriki of our villages?!" Ōnoki demanded.
Chen barely glanced at them before responding indifferently, "Are you really asking me about your jinchūriki? Find them yourselves if you care so much!"
The dismissive response caused the frustration of both Kages to boil over. "Damn it!" the Third Kazekage muttered.
Wasting no time, both Kages gave orders to send their men to search for the jinchūriki, knowing they couldn't afford to lose their tailed beasts.
Hanzō, seeing their distress, approached. "What do we do now? Do we retreat?" he asked in a tense voice, his eyes revealing the discomfort he felt.
"No. He fought against the tailed beasts; he must be exhausted. I don't think his chakra is limitless," the Kazekage replied coldly as he assessed the situation.
His face showed determination. "Hanzō, go and take care of Hiruzen's three disciples. Chiyo, I ask that you keep Hiruzen occupied. Ebizō, Sakumo Hatake will be your target. Danzo will be for Iwagakure."
"Understood," the designated members responded in unison, as they prepared for battle.
Ōnoki intervened immediately: "Kitsuchi, Akatsuchi, you two will handle Danzo. You don't need to defeat him, just keep him busy as long as necessary."
Then, the Tsuchikage looked at the Kazekage seriously. "Kazekage, we'll join forces. We must corner Chen Hyuga and kill him today. We cannot allow another like Hashirama or Madara to rise in this era."
The Third Kazekage nodded in agreement, and both immediately began mobilizing their troops. Ōnoki personally led the Four Thousand Shinobi of Iwagakure, all heading toward Chen with a single goal:
Eliminate him.
Chen watched as thousands of ninjas approached him, and he let out a disdainful laugh.
"A group of ants, huh? It's funny how terrifying they can seem in large numbers…" His eyes gleamed with arrogance. "As Madara would say… it depends on whether they know how to dance."
Calmly, he drew his weapons. In his right hand, he held Ryūjin Jakka, and in his left, the Red Soul Sword, both emanating a dangerous aura.
He knew he was in a different league. A group of genin and chūnin was nowhere near enough to kill him.
"Since you all want to die so badly, I guess I have no choice but to oblige," he said with a sigh. "After all, I'm a really kind person."
Ōnoki and the Third Kazekage gritted their teeth.
'Kind? How could someone like him even say that word?'
"COME AND FIGHT!"
Chen exclaimed, holding his two swords with a twisted smile on his face.
In front of him stood an army of seven thousand ninjas, but he showed not a trace of concern.
To him, it was as if he were alone against an insignificant mass.
Though he was only one, his presence overwhelmed thousands.
The army launched a barrage of ninjutsu, but Chen, with quick and precise movements, cut through every attack by brandishing his swords.
Each time the blades were drawn, the jutsus vanished in flashes of black and red.
Swish
Swish
His swords sliced through the air, unleashing two powerful Sword Intents that shot directly toward Ōnoki and the Third Kazekage.
Chen, without hesitation, immediately charged into the thick of the crowd.
Once in the chaos, the ninjas didn't dare use ninjutsu. The fear of hitting their own comrades paralyzed them. But Chen, on the other hand, had no qualms.
Swish
Swish
With his swords dancing swiftly, he attacked mercilessly. His movements were lethal, like a harvester cutting through a field of wheat.
In the blink of an eye, nearly a hundred bodies lay at his feet, soaking the ground in blood.
"It's the Devil!" cried a genin, collapsing to his knees in despair, his voice trembling as he watched the massacre before him.
"How can we fight someone like that?"
"Shut up!" roared a nearby jōnin, his eyes burning with determination. "Even if the enemy is strong, for the sake of our village, I will kill this demon, even if I fight to the death!" His voice rang out across the battlefield, but before he could even move…
Shhhk
His head flew off…
Chen had already decapitated him with a swift stroke of the Red Soul Sword.
"Your determination is admirable," he said as he watched the jōnin's body fall to the ground, "But your strength… isn't. All your grand speeches are empty."
Chen's brutality and precision made it clear that there was no room for weakness in his presence.
Amidst the chaos, Ōnoki, wounded by the mark of the sword on his chest, watched him with a mixture of hatred and desperation. "...Don't you feel any guilt for killing so many people at such a young age?"
"Puff!" Chen let out a laugh that echoed across the battlefield. "Guilt? Hahaha! Are you confused, old man? How could I feel guilt? To me, I'm just pulling out the weeds that block my path. Would you feel guilty for pulling out weeds?"
His smile widened as he directed a cold stare at Ōnoki. "You, and all these ninjas, are nothing more than that: weeds. There's no guilt in getting rid of them."
"..."
There was a long silence in the air, broken only by the groaning of the wounded and the wind whispering through the shattered rocks.
Ōnoki, his eyes now filled with fear and a newfound respect, lowered his head slightly.
"...You are the most terrifying person I've ever seen in my life," he murmured quietly, almost as if speaking to himself. "Even more terrifying than... Madara Uchiha."
