Juliet had texted Chloe saying she’ll get here in an hour so everyone was in their room getting ready for a late lunch.

“Did you really have to say that?” I asked him, because yes, I was hurt.

“I don’t know why you didn’t just answer his question, it wasn’t that difficult,” he answers as he dries his hair with a towel before throwing it on the chair in the corner.

“I don’t know what we are, and when I asked - your silence was as good of an answer that I was going to get,” I tell him and he stays quiet, which is something we have gotten so used to by now.

“I like you, Gomes. There, I’ve said it, so what are you going to do with what you now know?” I ask him nervously. Maybe I’m just overthinking it, but what if he doesn’t like me as much as I do him.

I don’t want to cry, but if he doesn’t say anything, I am going to burst.

He stays quiet, just looks at me.

“Why do you make so sad, Gomes?” I whisper.
